user reviews of the Wishing Well, Borehamwood

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Probably the most comfortable pub in Borehamwood, decently furnished with a few television so that everyone can watch their favourite sport channel.

Standard faux Irish pub with friendly Polish servers and Irish manager.

Little for the real ale drinker, but a frsh pint of Stella!

Good night in this pub. The music by a girl called Jean-Marie was fantastic. The people were friendly and the guvnor seems to know how to run a good pub letting people have good time without letting it get out of hand.. Yobbo types give this place a miss, you will not find a welcome here but if you are up for a lively evening with some music and dancing this is the place. (well when this singer was on anyway) You can even have a Thai meal before the entertainment starts... It's not a late nighter though...

Went in there once with a couple of mates on a saturday for a few pints. Live music was decent, was then launched on by a group of 50 something ladies trying to dance with us. Turned out to be quite a laugh. Serves a decent pint.

The Wishing Well chain must go out of their way to ensure all their pubs look the same. This one is a spooky clone of the one I sometimes frequent in Watford. There are the same hanging baskets outside, same furnishings, stained glass, boothed layout, beer offering (no real ale), gaming machines and strangely the same awful smell from the Gents toilets. I almost expected to see the same staff. Decent for sports as they have a number of TVs and probably get their fair share of custom in an area with a dearth of good pubs.

Went there on Saturday nite with 3 friends. Cheap drinks and nice atmosphere. The only problem is the 'didddly didddly' band. There is ALWAYS an irish band playing far too loud and I hear the same tunes ever time I frequent!

Still no real ales. Irish memorabilia around the pub suggests Guinness is the go, and it was a pretty good pint of it

This is a good local pub for me. A friendly atmoshpere, even when Arsenal are playing Tottenham.

Pity they don't have any real ales.
