Pool table is back by the way re: previous review! Dart board isn't though :( As previously said Maria is an fantastic landlady and it's a great pub, if a bit light on the ales. That being said, I normally have Stella here and it's a really lovely pint of it.

I understand the Osney was once a thriving local back in the 80s. Been under the same ownership for a long time now, but its glory days are sadly in the past. An ill-advised makeover hasn't helped. One real ale (6X), poorly served. Also, the pool table and dart board have gone - I can't see the sense in this.

Redone so looks quite smart inside (sofas and leather chairs). Fairly basic pub menu but food was nice enough with decent portions for reasonable prices. Screen with Sky Sports showing and one real ale on (6X - well poured and kept). Friendly bar staff / customers too. Fear it suffers from its location for the amount of custom it'll get though as the middle of Botley Road isn't the first place you'd think of going drinking.

The osney was my local for 4 years. Maria is the finest landlady that i've come across and her pies are grand.

if god fancied a pint of generic cider or cooking lager he'd come here. it is open late mind and maria cooks the finest pies in christendem.
