horrible place, looks like it was nice about 5 years ago. hardly anywhere to sit inside and music is very loud throughout so you can't chat. the floor is sticky and it takes absolutely ages to get served.

Nice pub and friendly bar staff, but like sam said, it's very trendy and the whole place reeks of "try-hard".

Classy establishment, especially like the layed back tunes. Beer vending machines are a nice idea when the bar is packed too. Nice.

Nice bar,pool table,plenty of tv screens for the footie, sassy barmaids and watch out for Dj's Mike and Ladykiller Si playing funk on Thursdays. Good place for a drink and not as chaotic as Jesters/Clowns!

A trendy bar in portswood with no need to go into town. Music policy is a breath of fresh air-soul, raregroove, reggae and funk, none of that commercial cheese filled stuff, Jesters (uncle festers) a few doors way for that! Bar staff are friendly and there's a great beer garden. Its been completely transformed in the last 12 months. However you do get some uber "trying too hard" cool people there.

So-bar has a unique selling point in that its in studentsville in terms of pubs,but it does a fair impression of somewhere a bit trendier!Nice looking barmaids(it does help-honest!) Usually some funky soul on the decks and a poll tabele. Great little garden for the summer.
