Pleasant and interesting old pub with two very seperate bars. One very quiet and one lively. Friendly staff and friendly punters. Limited choice for real ale but what was there was good. Will return.

great pub you feel you are being well looked after by the landlord and lady who are a great double act. They also have Mild on which seems to be hard to find so worth going along for that alone. I will return.

All the previous reviews are a pretty accurate description. Not a fan as they only serve courage best and london pride

great little pub, friendly crowd, good pint of "pride" great on a sunday lunchtime - seafood and roast tatties and they close at 3 just as pubs should.

Excellent pub for students and old men alike. The 2 sides to the pub seperate the clientel nicely with the older types preferring to relax one side and the students preferring the opposite side with the jukebox, pool table, dart board and access to the beer garden. Overall superb pub with friendly bar staff.

Traditional Courage pub with friendly staff and clientel. Busy with college students during the day, with a more "grown up" crowd as they day wears on. Cheap, but good quality pub food served between 12-2.

Pool table - only 50p ago, reasonable selection of cues. Chalk available.

Darts - 2 boards. One day time use board in its own little room leading onto the beer garden. Good board with chalkboard to the rear of the oche and an overhead light. 1 deposit for the darts. Also a league board in the main room at the back of the pub.

Jukebox - old school jukebox plays the classics. 1 gets you 5 tunes.

Fruity - changes every couple of months. Recent ones have been Coronation Street and Deal or No Deal. Popular at lunch times in particular with the college students.

Beer garden - excellent in the summer. Shade for those that want it, but also in a great position to catch the sun.

Beers - London Pride and Courage best occupy the two hand pumps. In reasonable condition. Scrumpy Jack available for the cider drinker. Fosters, Carling and 1664 are all available for the lager drinker. Small selection of other bottled beers and cid

Traditional street-corner pub. Two bars; standard saloon to front with pool, darts and juke box in back bar, also garden. Hand pump ales always in good nick, also a range of lagers. Some food at lunch times. Quiz night on Sunday.

its a nice locals pub with 2 bars the front bar hosting traditional decor on a navy theme and the back bar with its dart boards and pool table for the younger pub goer. well kept by alan and sandra and not 2 forget the pub dog chips. in my opinion a good alround atmosphere.
