One of the few Holt's that also has the Bootleg brewery beers on as well, so we had a mild. Nice, but no plans to go back here.

Fantastic large pub bang next door to the train station.7 handpumps showcase the Joseph Holt range of which I quaffed a lovely pint of mild @ only 2.12pint. The carvery smelled beautiful but didnt have time to stop. 8/10

This is a nice pub. It has a friendly atmostphere with a styish relaxing restaurant. The food is excellent and the chefs continuously replace the vegetables etc, even if there is food in the dishes. It is almost like they time how long the food has been standing. The meals are of good quality, especially the Steak and Ale pie. (a little too salty perhaps) however, the pastry melts in your mouth and the steak is lean and tender. The Sunday Carvery is well worth sitting down to with your family. I like the other options on their chalk board, it gives choice for the customer. The only wish I have is that they make mash for the Carvery. Otherwise this pub is a winner!

Typical in size but not in price - Mild approaching 2.10. Had read of sastro pretensions but had the typical friendly Holts crowd in. Worth a quick visit.

I tell a lie: Mild is now 2.10!

Really nice Holts pub, with a stark contrast between lounge and vault! Beer still just about under 2, with Bitter, Mild and seasonal usually available, along with lots of bottles, and the ususal Holts lagers. The Mild is always on form, but I find Holts Bitter in general to be undrinkable.

This pub has made a real transformation from a dead end pub to a really fancy wine bar type place. It has to be said the changes are for the better though the prices have gone up to reflect this.

This used to be a great pub at splendid prices. Unfortunately it's been 'done up' like so many others and now resembles a 'Little Chef' rather than a good boozer. The ale is still quite good but the prices are sickening. The clientel are also vastly different to the previous crew, far too trendy for my likes.
