Travellers Tavern, Victoriaback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Those within the train station aside, I thought The Shakespeare was the worst of the pubs in the Victoria vicinity. Well, no, actually, it isn’t. For you see, it has a contender for that particular unwanted mantel – The Travellers Tavern. And what a dire excuse for a boozer it is. Situated just outside the coach station, it is undoubtedly a place which attracts its fair share of custom, mainly made up of those poor wretches desperate for a drink after a torrid journey aboard the National Express coaches. The pubs interior is large and sprawling, with wooden tables and chairs and not a lot else. There is nothing to engage the eye. The person who served me behind the bar was miserable and the atmosphere, one of desperation. The music was monotonous. There was a large plasma screen to the very rear of the pub, though the contrast was so poor, it wasn’t worth even straining your eyes to see Final Score. (My visit took place on Sat 23 Aug). I thought T&J Bernard houses were generally of a good standard. What happened? Visit only if desperate.

I am a great lover of pubs (and beer!) but I would rather stand outside in the p@~#ing rain than waste my money on a glass of swill from this dive!
Do yourself a favour and have a wander as there are some good pubs, the belgravia being one of them.
By the way it is VERY expensive!

The Travellers, a sight for sore eyes. After some well delayed National Express journeys this is our first port of call to 'relieve' the streeses of the journey. Beer good and staff reliable and friendly. Get You seat BEFORE You go to the bar as it's a struggle with bags and beers to squeeze thru at busy times and You wouldn't wanna spill any would Ya?

Chanced a visit here while waiting for the bus, and the place lived up to low expectations. Shabby interior, transient clientele and a pint of Stella that wouldn't get you in the mood for beating an egg, let alone a wife.
Mind you, it beats sitting in the waiting area of the coach station.

More or less an extension of the Viccy Coach Station waiting room, with Polish 'visitors' milling around looking for work. Perhaps they should offer to work behind the bar - they couldn't do any worse than those currently employed. Avoid.
