Speckled Hen still as well kept as it was in August 2011. Unfortunately the Folk Club is now in the main bar....warmer but noisier.

Greene King hotel with a bar (locals and guests all welcome). We had some of GK's world cup beer (Brasilia) which was very good! It has all the facilities you would expect from a town centre hotel and it was actually a very pleasant visit. Prices are "hotel rates".

Nice food and beer well kept, but stunned by the prices. �11.40 for 2 pints of GK Celebration and 2 small cokes.

The Speckled Hen is always kept OK, but despite the frequent large turn out in the cellar for the Folk Club on a Tuesday, the cellar bar is never manned.

need a mortgage to drink in here, other than that its quite good.
