Visited on Monday lunch time : almost deserted (6 customers) , even though it's in a small shopping development with plenty parking : average small (paved) garden area in front for smoking : quiz machine. Not cheap : Strongbow 2.70. Can't think of any good reason to go here unless it is convenient, but to be fair, couldn't find any specific critism except emptyness (should be noted next closest pub closed for refurbishment at time, did not see a single other regular from said pub there. Do they know something I don't....)

Still awful. Even the giant tv screen (only reason for visiting) is going on the blink now.

Landlord and landlady very welcoming and friendly. Always good food, beer is pricey but where isn't it unless you want a souless place like wetherspoons. Considering they are impending grandparents they are a very lively couple. Well done!!

New owners are trying hard to make a go of this smokey hole but the price of the beer is a lot to pay for this nothing of a pub.

Apparently has new owners now (last set so poor that they allegedly even forgot to renew their licence and got shut down for a weekend). Let's hope they make some serious improvements!!

Against my better judgement gave this pub one last chance as I wanted to watch the footy on Tuesday.
Yep, you guessed it - no beer available! Not even the disgusting Green King IPA. In fact, even the Stella tasted even worse than usual.
I'm starting to think the owners are deliberately running this pub down to they can sell the land for flats. :-(

I have to agree with Darren on this one. I can only assume that the place has taken (or received) its name from the ability of someone somewhere to forge Cask Marque awards. Surely they can't really have been awarded it ? Not a good choice of beers nor are the beers well looked after (if the flavour is anything to go by). There are certainly a number of better pubs not a pub crawl away so why waste time and money in a place that evidently doesn't want to waste time on pleasing potential customers. The next pundit is just around the corner or alredy sitting on the train and looking for a whoopee night out on the town in swinging Bill after all. Naah, I'd give this one a miss or just pop in for a pi...e (don't bother with the pint though).

If this pub has a Cask Marque award they should do the decent thing and return it. Went along to watchy footy on Wednesday. Barmaids were discussing whether or not to change the barrels as all the bitters were running out. They didn't bother so it rapidly became an ale-free pub!!

Pretty bog-standard pub; but good for watching the footy as plenty of space to stand or sit to watch the various screens dotted around.
Barstaff friendly enough and service was good.
No longer doing Old Speckled Hen; so had to endure Green King whose only saving grace was that is was just £1.70 a pint.
Also has a pool table plus regular quiz and music acts.
