Waiting for planning permission to knock it down and build flats.

Another pub closed and shuttered.

Closing in a couple of weeks to become a restaurant or shop. Seems a shame because Ben made a big effort. It's rumoured that Ben is heading to another pub in Rochdale.

Up for sale as a freehold. Very close to the new Droylsden metrolink stop it has a good car park and beer garden but it has never sold a decent real ale due to the choice of ales enterprise inns have to the landlords. Has potential with it being close to old aldwynians rugby club.

Called in moss tavern, spoke to landlord Ben, seems a friendly chap. There was a marstons pedigree pump on bar, but alas no beer, landlord said he had to throw most of it away as there was no demand. He said if there was a demand for it he woul'd be prepared to try it again as he likes real ale himself. Sunday carvery & african/carribean buffet under 12's eat free. Every last fri of month motown & reggae evening.

Reopened with the landlord telling us all these big ideas of real ale and food. I'm afraid with enterprise being in charge this pub will struggle.

Closed again, another pub in Droylsden/Audenshaw that used to be good before someone decided to adapt policies that ended up turning it into a dive.

Fairly nondescript pub on the border of Droylsden and Audenshaw. Its quite wide and narrow with the long bar facing you as you enter. Theres a games room with a pool table and a table football. The main lounge has a number of slightly worn tables and chairs but is fairly comfortable. What wasnt comfortable on Friday was that there was a DJ playing in the area to the right with far too much volume. Theres a large beer garden to the right and rear which looks pleasant. Its a keg only pub now, it wasnt always, but it now attracts a younger clientele who only drink lager. Its not great and I wouldnt bother, even Droylsden has several better pubs.
