This Wine bar is now called THE SWITCH WINE BAR I will write a comment later

Switch is a great place to see celebrities. I saw Jade Goody from Big Brother and she was very polite, Is she related to the old lady who works at Wood's Fish n Chip shop?

Nice place to go at lunch to have quiet drink and to read the paper. Staff are lovely and polite.

no longer called jets, it's had a refurb and it's now called click bar (clique would have been more appropriate). looks nice from the outside, but rest assured, it's still full of orange-coloured people listening to rubbish music at a deafening level. the only thing this bar has going for it is the wing sing chinese take away opposite.

bland, really bland. come on people, when did we settle for second best?

persuaded to go in here a few weeks ago on a friday night.. what a load of crap! its dark so you cant even see past your noise, the point being?? dodgy music and no, I repeat NO atmosphere. people with long faces that look you up and down to see what your wearing as you enter. Small, crap and just....crap

Bar has been refurbished. Cleaner looking inside, they have moved the bar too I think - makes the space look bigger. Wicker has all gone - now some reasonably comfy Habitat-like chairs.

Same clientele as before though.

Staff were quite helpful and polite, I imagine there are bars/pubs a bit better and a bit worse nearby - so targetted to attract the MOR crowd - and seem to be doing quite well on it.

Traditionally the habitat of the lesser clad Essex bird, whose call of "Hey babes, goin' daaan Jets?" could be heard throughout the surrounding area. It has had a re-vamp and is now called Switch, but not much else has changed. One of those places that you think is great when there's nobody else in there. Unfortunately its main business is the pre-clubbing crowd so forget that quiet drink you've been contemplating. The sort of clientele that considers themselves too trendy for the Hogshead.

Jet's is a funny little place where the orange Essex people like to hang out (although it's located in E18). The place is in dire need of a refurb, the floral curtains and wicker chairs are straight out of my gran's conservatory and my 4 year old goddaughters soundsystem has more sound qaulity than the one in there. The place has got loads of potential but is being hindered by dodgy decor and bad sound (although the Dj on a Sat night plays some funky stuff)....that said it's alright standing out in the sunshine drinking a jug of overpriced Pimms!!!

Had a school Reunion in Jets a couple of weeks ago, had a really good night, the music was good, the atmosphere was very lively, top place to go in South Woodford and the surrounding areas

Would like to say what a friendly bunch of girls Jets has working there, and having taken a few people along for the first time recently they have all said they will be returning soon. Atmosphere is wonderful, very relaxed in the week and at weekends it comes alive. Keep up the good work. Also we love the cocktails...!

Jets is a nice bar, it's a nice place to take a girl to sit in the corner with a nice bottle of wine, or if you go there Thur, Fri or Sat it's the perfect place to warm up before you go Warehouse/Faces/195. I would recommend it, some beautiful ladies

Just a comment to the person who wrote that they wouldn't be going to jets because the previous staff was sacked. Well they were obviously sacked fro a good reason and yeah they were nice girls but I wouldn't say that the best looking girls have all gone, I would say that they have all just arrived. Jets are really making an effort now there is a new manager and Ive had some brilliant nights in there, would recommend it to any ages, but if you want a more chilling evening go there one a week night.

Having seen comments about previous staff it is only fair to advise that the new girls are more than just pretty faces, and can offer intellect as well as serving great drinks. Atmosphere is superb, excellent dj's at weekends too! You'll love it!

Jets is a nice bar to get all your friends together as there is always a nice atmosphere there plus you can also still hear each other so can catch up. Good music too.

Jets would have been a better place to be had it not been for all the bar girls leavin. Gonna find out where they're all drinkin now, just so i can c them. Shame they're gone. not going jets again either!

can't believe all the girls r gone. The owner needs head testing! They were amazing, absolutely gutted. Won't b drinkin there anymore. They were friendly and beautiful, and the only reason 90% of customers went there! I've never been so warmly greeted. Well Jets is nothin without the girls. Don't know there names, but loved u. The best looking girls r all gone. Wouldn;t bother with it!

This is a good bar and yes, the barmaids are something else, but I prefer Jets in the evening on the weekdays. A bit too rowdy on Friday and Saturday.

Jets is a cool place to drink. I love it in here. Great drinks, friendly punters and gorgeous barmaids (all of them!).

This is a great bar to go to at anytime. Great to sit outside and watch the birds go by in the summer. It hasn't recently changed hands, its just the manager is never there!
Thomas - 11 Mar 2004 21:09
A good place to go as a warm up on a Fri or Sat. Not much happening for the other 5 nights although there is a DJ on Sundays aswell as fri & sat. It has pleasant decor with plenty of seating. It has recently changed hands so will have to see how or if it changes over the next few months. It does have a lot of posers in there but that's what people do in south woodford.

very poor - full of people who's only purpose in life it seems is to be "seen" in this bar! I wouldn't visit again.

A traditional yet modern bar, it is a good place to relax with a beer in the summer, or a fun night out. Jets' versatility is what makes it one of the best bars around, it has friendly staff who are always pleased to help and the regulars are all friendly people too. The music in Jets is great and the selection of drinks wide. South Woodford is a great location, it's fun and easily accessible.

This is a classy little wine bar and the best haunt in South Woodford. Friendly staff who are easy on the eye and always pleased to help in any way. Particularly good on at the weekend when some really good DJ's play there. Live singer on Wednesday who is also excellent. Good selection of beers and wines. Well placed, just opposite South Woodford Station on Central Line.
