Pretty standard locals pub with screens for watching sport. They had a couple of ales on including a Tring brew but it just didn't lend itself to being an ale drinkers pub so I went for the lager here. Nothing special but at least it is still a pub in an area where so many have closed.

Absurd comment from weezel. On a Saturday night there were about a dozen customers and I don't think one of them was under 40. The pub has a cosy feel, and the other customers were chatty and friendly. Three real ales were on offer - GK IPA, Abbott, and a dark sweet guest beer from Belhaven at around 4%. Both the IPA and the guest were well-kept. This is a traditional locals' pub and I would quite happily revisit. Tiny car park.

Wide Boys, coke heads, piss heads, gamblers, fighters, mostly small fish drinking small beer in a small pond, avoid!

Decent old fashioned pub serving decent beer. Friendly place to visit, worth a visitif you're in Park Street

Wonderful little place, very much a locals pub given the location but they seemed a friendly bunch. Nice interior with comfortable seating, good dcor and prints on the walls. A notice board shows evidence of the community nature of the pub. Three real ales, looks to be mainly GK but judging by the pump clips above the bar they go for some of the unusual ones, there was an excellent Ridleys Witchfinder Porter on when I visited. Its not going to get a lot of passing trade but its only 5 minutes walk from the station.

A great village pub... average crowd 40ish, outside covered smoking area, good selection of beers, and the music isn't too loud... owner, staff, and crowd friendly... even to a wayward American that is new to the village. I like old planes... lots of pictures of them and of the village on the wall. Darts, too. Pub snacks available but not food.

Was on a pub crawl in this very strange village, walked past this pub once as a group of drunks were swaying outside the pub. However when did walk in it was a most enjoyable experience, everyone was willing to chat dont know if they were drunk or just nice people. But the beer was good and nice selection. would recommend this pub to anyone on a crawl and even to have a few pints. is smoking out the back and you can sit down which is good. Have a visit it will make you laugh of nothing else.

Rather unwelcoming. I went in to get out of the rain. After 20 minutes the rain was even heavier but I made my excuses and left. The Greene King IPA was in reasonable condition, but that's not difficult, is it?

I bought a very cheap car off the owner and it lasted for a year so thats not bad is it? Plus he threw in a pint of Stella. Locals seemed to be pretty much alcoholics to the point where you couldnt understand what they were saying, I just laughed and nodded my head...fastest pint of Stella I ever drank! 10 out of 10 for the experience though.

Average customer age of 102. Very smoky inside and would'nt fancy messing with the bargirl.Beer ok and will be pleasanter when the ban comes in.

The hard-as-nails locals seem to like it, but this is a fairly depressing pub. The best choice of beers in Park Street, but that's not saying much.

Always a warm welcome from the landlord and sarah.
Better than other pubs in the village because of the good atmosphere.
