Bit of a locals local but the beer was on top form.

Very old-fashioned locals' pub. Food was acceptable but nothing special. This pub does not take credit or debit cards?? Unbelievable. Service was friendly but rushed. Being asked to get a drink from the bar whilst having a meal is not my idea of good service.

Very nice pub, well kept st austell ales, enjoyable reasonably priced meals. This place manages to cater for locals & holidaymakers without short changing either group of customers.Nice to see a thriving village pub with a warm welcome for visitors.

Always a warm welcome, well kept beer and good basic food at reasonable prices. It may not have the views, but otherwise it is 100% better than the pretentious rubbish at the Pandora a couple of miles down the road!

Called in while doing a bus trip round some of Cornwall's real ale pubs, and found this to be a friendly local selling good quality real ales.

Friendly village pub, albeit a little dated inside.

Excellent pub. Really good food and not expensive. Sunday lunch is great. Nice beer and friendly staff. They deserve to do very well.

A very well kept pint, good food and a pleasant atmosphere.
Have a good lunch here, walk alongside the river, a pint in the Pandora and a walk back for another drop of refreshment. I enjoyed this last summer and hope to do so again soon.

Very friendly, family pub. Expect a warm welcome from Alan and family. Serves good food, with a good selection of well-priced drinks. Pool table, darts board, beer garden and car park.
