Visited recently. Okay pint of real ale. Very quiet on my visit. Sky TV was on but no sound. Nothing to recommend this pub over the many fine pubs in York. Will not be on my list of must visits when i'm next in York

A pint of below-par Landlord served by someone dressed as the chef, a bunch of regulars sitting right in front of me interrupting my view of the footie and seemingly oblivious/indifferent to the fact and a very cold atmosphere in all senses of the term are the only distinguishing features I can remember about my visit.

Used this pub and the way back from a meal out in town in January. Had a naff pint of the festive ale. It was dim and cold in there. Looks like a stopping off and filling up point for people heading into town for a night out. Bar staff friendly and it has a pool table tucked away at the back.

Not too good, unimpressively dull infact. Same old drinks offers, music, surly staff. Has a pool table, and cheap drinks, so its surviving, but little to recommend it.

Another Micklegate pub that has seen much better days.

A decent boozer with some great deals during the week for a cheap drink. However not one of the popular places to drink on the weekends.
