Much improved but still fairly basic.

Curious building with very high ceilings. Limited choice of beers but Master Brew was passable. Friendly staff, live music and nicely busy.

pisshead2, randompissed and hellsbelles, looking at the dates when your comments were posted you were all spot on, but, as littlebob pointed out, the bower now has new owners and a totally different, trouble/drug/kiddie-free environment. lizzy489 is spot on with her review, the place couldn't be any more different than it was 3 or 4 years ago.

I have read the reviews that have been written and this is what the pub USED to be like. A lovely young lady took it over and was managing it for someone else, she has done a fantastic job in cleaning the place up and getting rid of the riff raff !!! She has now bought the pub off of the brewery and it now operates as a freehouse. She has turned it into a lovely welcoming local pub with pool and darts teams operating from the pub. So bite the bit and find out for yourselves and make your own opinion.
