Like everyone says its rubbish. Worst bar in town.

I agree with Gtowngal, this is a bad, bad venue. By the way your doing yourself a favour by not coming here. Especially in terms of beer money. I think they just want a certain type of people in here... Sexy girls so the people in charge can watch.. Terrible really.

Not a great place fills a slot i`d say (just).
|
Horrible. Just horrible.

Was in there about 6 months ago. Wasn't really worth a review or a rating until I read the fakes below.
Bland, vanilla, beige. All the heart and soul of Terminal 3. To quote the Hitchhiker's Guide. "Mostly Harmless".

Oh deary me beersupper, looks like staff, friends, crony customers or smarty pants types just trying to talk a place up for a laugh. Really, tut..tut but good try anyway ! No rating left, not been in there for years after some toe-rag broke one of my wing mirrors in the Millbrook car park.

What a refreshing place! The decor is great and the vibe fantastic. If you've not experienced it yet, get yourselves down there and enjoy good music in a beautiful enviroment. With three floors to choose from, there is something for everyone. If you want something different to the norm, it's the perfect night out. See you at the bar!

This place is fantastic. Great decor, top music, friendly staff. Go there and see for yourself.
|
What a mixed bag of reviews! If you are into your ales and looking for a cheap pint, like sitting next to saddo's that smell then you have come to the wrong place.
The legion is a bubbly lively sophisticated venue with great friendly staff who attract good customers where i feel safe. The music is spot on and as for the decor it is fantastic.
Bit odd that the sensible pub revier didn't see what lots of others do. Dont need to say much about the beersupper, saw him with his carrier bags at the bus station!
If you want a great night out go and see for yourself, you will enjoy it, like i did. A 10/10 from me!

what are you saying pubman, its great here? Surely there is something for everyone, and lets face it we don't shop around for cheap beer otherwise we would be taking our chances at the weavers or staying home with a 6pack of Kaltenburg supreme and a pickled egg? I love the loungy downstairs bar, they even had some live music acts last monday night.
|
Not sure its a bar or a nightclub. Not worth paying £3.50 for a San Miguel, surely?
|
Hate the place! No ale, snobby people on the door. Sucks! 1/10 for being there.
|
Whats this? Another nightclub type place with arrogant staff... Shambles.
|
One pub one comment always makes me think stitch up.

I went to the Legion when it first opened & I didn't like it - Sorry. But after going to a friends party last weeek, I love it. Lots of big sofas in the bar downstairs with a good atmosphere, I gave the middle floor a miss as it was a bit hectick but spent the rest of the night in your new bar on the second floor where the party was.. a really hip late night hangout. well done on turning this around, we will be back as this is possibly turning into the best bar in Guildford. x Gabby

The Perfect night out, A mix of chill out areas with funky and buzzing atmosphere, Great Dj's and now free to get in all the time!!
|
Sorry but i don`t see this place lasting as it is now.Its some thing and nothing does not do a thing lunch time or afternoons and very patchy in the evenings.

The Guildford Friday night H-File search broadens! I came to Legion around 10.30ish (17 Aug) with a friend who was keen to see a certain woman in here. No problems with the bouncers on the door regarding photo ID for entry. We headed to the middle floor (pictured in pub details) where we found the female in question with a friend in one of the cosy booths. I was driving and my mate brought me a soft drink, so I am uncertain of the drink prices in here.
My first impressions of Legion is that it is simply the club version of nearby Five and Lime, which confirms Callum251's comment of this being Five and Lime's "sister pub". So basically if you like Five and Lime, you'll like this place. Not quite sure on the pricing policy though? It was £5 entry after 10pm when the Friday night clubbing crowd appear to flock to Time considering it is free entry there before Midnight.
The music playing in the background on this aesthetically looking floor was old school funky house with the clubby bit and main dance floor on the much darker ground floor. There was a private party on the top floor where the pool tables are. Despite eventually being with a group of women, the place did appear to be full of (older) blokes, which from my point of view was not encouraging for the H-File search. I felt the dance floor on the ground floor was a bit on the small side, though you could go up a few stairs onto the stage and also dance there.
Overall, Legion is a sound alternative to Harpers, Time or even Flares for a late drink and well worth a visit especially when the likes of Time/Harpers for instance presumably stop their summer policy of allowing free entry before Midnight.

a bit quiet in the daytime but I like this bar - the lunchtime fair is quiet basic with just a hot sandwich menu - but when they arrived we were pleasently surprised. great value - nice staff.
|
Yes Yes & yes again i say - It is a bit of a walk but well worth a visit - & only a fiver to get in. what more can I say - loves it.

I like this place there was a good vibe on the friday we visited. the girls toilets were too hot but other than that it is actually quite good.
|
Place is ok nothing special i wish them luck. But i will say how can anyone read Callums comments with out laughing he rates other pubs with rocks or sucks (a man of words )and even rates a pub thats been shut for over 18 months, the standard of staff must be quite poor....
|
No mr/ms anon I work at the five & Lime but you have got to agree that the chav count is nil & it has a kick ass interior - so forgive me for bigging up our sister pub !!!!!! oh Aleman they keep selling beer & many other drinks until the bar shuts [3AM] cheers.

|

Have visited this bar/club. On the whole i do quite like it, downstairs appears to be the main club area, while on the middle floor is the bar area and the top floor they have pool tables.
The bottled beers cost more than buying pints so watch out for that, all the prices are listed on the drinks menu. They do stop selling alcohol about 1am though, on a Friday at least.
|
love the club is there a listings page??
