Seems like they are getting it right. Ale is now well kept and food is good value for money. Staff are cheerful and helpful. Still a few oiks getting in there and some of the 'seedier' women are now unwelcome!

This pub has a similar atmosphere to a Wetherspoons. Food acceptable and good value. IPA...never much to say about IPA... Others have made accurate observations of the clientele.

Started under the new guise as a Sizzler Inn o.K.. Sadly the clientele are not up to the standard of a place where you would take close friends.Front bar has gained a crowd who shout profanities at all and sundry, and some boisterous boozed up women.

This is a dreadful hole and has been so for the past 15-years. When is somebody going to take it over who cares about the beer, the food and the service provided? Currently, they have three hand-pumped beers. What comes out of them is supposed to Landlord, London Pride and Greene King IPA. At ten on a Saturday night what actually comes out is another matter; watery, weak, lifeless crap! The Landlord and the Pride are 2.15, which is a good price if the beer was any good, but it isn't. Personally, I'd rather pay more in The Bell in Bierton for Pride or in The Chandos Arms in Weston Turville for IPA. At least in those pubs you get a decent consistent pint albeit you'll pay 2.90 and 2.70 respectively. As for the staff... useless!

this pub has been closed for the past couple of weeks and just re-opened after a re-branding it's now a sizzling steak, food good value, pool table, lcd tvs, quizz nights ,and cheap priced drinks, brought back to the local commuinty, lets hope the local loughts don't get back in.

This has rto be some form of jest - The Plough is a Carvery sort of thing, not a Pub!

Recently re-opened after a re-furb. 4 real ales on tap, and all are good! Price-wise, it has to be the best value in town.Decor and furniture are good, but a lack of seats, and bar stools, in the bar area. Toilets are clean, Staff are friendly and, 'happily', there is not a TV set in sight!
Obviously aimed at the more sophisticated and mature drinker, though no doubt, some of the previously barred oiks will find their way back there!
