A good drinker's pub as a counterpart to the more foodie surrounds of The George (same owners) across the road. Quiet of a Saturday afternoon and presumably a great place to whole up of a winter's evening. Other beers beyond the Wadsworth range on tap and lovely cartoon reproductions from Punch on the wall.

we went here this sunday only to be told at 2.15 by landlord that he stopped doing any food cus hardly anyone had ordered any and he was really sarcastic about the way he told us too....i mean he had only stopped serving it 5 minutes earlier for gods sake and yet he couldnt make an exception? what a poor attitude in so called hard times for the pub trade...obviously he must be raking it with his extra high prices for beer.

we just love this country pub!

Very nice pub in a lovely village, wadworths house. Only prob is no garden. Well worth a vist

Played skittles there last night. Young couple run the pub. Beer well kept, if a tad pricey.

Not as spectacular as the George, but a very good pub none the less. Good beer choice, comfortable bar area. Had the atmosphere of the locals pub (as opposed to the George, which would be more for tourists).

Right opposite the George. If not as spectacular, building wise, still plenty of charm, beer fine, worth a visit.
