good wholesome pub very friendly people and staff, some entertainment spcialy saturda 10am till late, good sports tv coverage, you feel welcomed

Visited yesterday when I had an hour to kill. Looks a bit grim but the bar staff and clientele couldn't have been friendlier. You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, it does great pints and well worth a visit

as a visitor here quite regularly i find a pleasant atmosphere much quieter now the portugese have left and less trouble.Some great weekend live music, and a supurb venue for medium sized functions and parties top place localy keep it up

Visiting relations from Scotland I found this pub to be the most friendly in the area. The landlady could not do enough to make our visit a pleasant one . Her hospitality to me and my wife were second to none can't wait for my next visit. Wish I had apub and landlady like that back home

A two bar pub, right side English, left side Portugese. The English side has just had a paint job, so the regulars came into the other bar and the language was terrible, seems some people can't string a sentence together without at least 3 swear words. I prefer the Portugese side, I can't understand the language so it's more restful.
