Solid standard pub with decent ales (as you'd expect from a brewery tap)

Enjoyed the Shefford Bitter and also the fact it came in at under £3 a pint. Decent, old-school boozer with an impressive range of ales to match.

Great pub - great landlord and landlady - a real olde world pub where dogs and children are welcome and the hospitality is fantastic. We sometimes go on a Sunday before lunch for a couple of glasses - accompanied by the nibbles of cheese, crackers and Anne's hot roast potatoes - a great boon in cold weather! A local pub we heartily recommend

Interesting selection of well kept ales and friendly enough place where you can normally get a seat even on Fri / Sat evenings. Quite a number of bikers in last time we were there. However rather disappointingly while us and a number of other tables nearby were enjoying conversations the music was turned up to a level whereby it was difficult to continue our talking and eventually lead us to leave. I would hope to think this is not a regular occurrence!

Great pub, with two sides to it, the lovely old bar area with stripped wood floorboards, and the smaller, dated lounge area. I will always choose the former to sit in the window and spend an afternoon playing cards or reading the paper. Pumps were the same as below on my last visit, a good selection and the Shefford bitter was excellent. The jukebox was on, as was the tv in the lounge area, but very low so neither interfered with the atmosphere in the bar. Fresh rolls available at the bar if you're hungry.
A great pub to spend the afternoon in.

With a very nice and welcoming young lady behind the bar and 5 ales on - B&T Bitter, Dunstable Giant and Dragonslayer, Everard's Tiger and a Milestone brew (that I can't remember the name of) as guest on this visit, it's a very nice place to while away an afternoon and have a read of the paper with a pint (or three).
Slightly annoying jukebox that auto-selects if nothing has been selected. You're just enjoying the P&Q when it starts up and plays just one song and then is quiet for another few minutes before repeating the process again - and again - and again..........!!

Friendly welcome and well kept ales featuring three from B&T,Everards Tiger and a guest beer .On my visit the B&T beers available were Shefford Bitter (excellent, very bitter finish) Dunstable Giant and Dragonslayer while the guest was Elgood's Greyhound.Shame no B&T mild or stout available on the day. Two reasonable sized drinking areas with a single bar,the pub is well used by locals who appreciate the fine ale.A good village boozer.

Well worth a visit.. Beer was superb and both Landlord / Landlady lovely. Not many places these days they care about the drinker & try hard to keep you there. Best pub in Shefford. (I've not been to two others recently however) Please leave a drink in the pump for Chris.:)

Enjoyed a brief visit here early on a Saturday afternoon. Agree with Henners about the Mild, but i found my other beer was equally as good. There was enough people in to make the atmosphere sociable. A one bar pub, but with two areas depending on how you like to enjoy your beer. Thanks to the regulars and staff for letting me join in this quiz! Good pub.

For a Brewery Tap I expected a little more,I swear the Dragonslayer tasted much better at the Hitchin beer festival last week. The Mild was excellent ,but the pub seemed a little quiet for a Thursday night, although I was in quite early ,so I might have caught it at a bad time.
