Commercial (the Comm), Lochgilpheadback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Characterful little public bar with friendly locals. Keg beers only. It has a strange wee Gents with a sliding door just behind the bar. Handy for the bus stops.

Great pub. There's ale at times, but not when we visited. Freindly locals.

Unspoilt traditional pub at the top of the loch on the shore road. The unspoilt interior has earned the pub a place in CAMRA's National Inventory of Unspoilt Interiors. The room at the back is particularly noteworthy.
It seemed very much a locals pub, might not appeal to everybody.
Like far too many Scottish pubs still, the pub offers no real ale.

Funboobs has this place spot on, no loud music or puggys blaring at you just the banter and craic of the locals whom always try to get visitors to join in with them as they(the locals) are a curious lot and like to find out about everyone as they may be able to give some info on the area to help your stay be more enjoyable.

Usually the words "run ,down, seedy, dirty, disgusting" perks my interest. However, I don't know what the last guy was talking about. This place wasn't like that at all. I've travelled a lot and gone into some real dives. This ain't one of them. Good beer, and nice staff. I'm with you 'funboobs'... and not just cause of your name.

run ,down, seedy, dirty, disgusting beer (no real ale) great old fashioned pub , pity about some of the clientel could be agreat watering hole in the care of an experienced landlord with a knowledge of how a good pub should be run

Comm Bar is the place to be if you want local history, news etc.. If you want interesting conversation and a good time, without jukebox, puggy's and t.v, its the place to be! But not for the faint hearted, lots of local banter, friendly atmosphere, local people chilling, good place to HANG!!!!

What a gem - all West Highland bars should be like this!

Untouched since 1946, this is like a timemachine: Beautifully crafter Pub on the westcoast at the head of Loch Gilp. Standard Scottish Beers, good whiskeys, great people.
