Very nice, friendly atmosphere, interesting cocktails (The 'Die Hard' - 15, 15 shots of different spirits!) and great film-based decor.

Been in here recently, has to be the gayest straight bar anyone could imagine. Has to be one of a kind with the crass pics of The King and Marilyn everywhere. Bottles of lager are priced at a pound a pop, strangley bizarre and glad to be moving on to real ale pub up the road.

Waffles wine bar, a bit like colchester zoo. Karaoke run by a panda with attitude, genorous viewing of ladies using the toilet, ( no blinds on the windows ) a window licker who thinks hes a bar manager, and a landlady who doesnt allow the occasional swear word otherwise you are oot ! laughable now the place is so desperate she is advertising for punters in the paper.

What a cesspool, does anyone remember the spaceport in star wars, think of that and you are not far off, plus i think jabba the hutt is one of the regulars. a large fire for the insurance money would make a huge improvement.

Great Night

Great Staff, Great Night, Great People, Great Drinks!

Been in their a few times you get treated the same no matter who you are - so don't go flashing your cash thinking you will get served faster - they treat everyone the same which is great and service is brilliant

1 bottles until 9:30 2 afterwards - Vodka etc etc 1 - bells,whisky,bacardi etc 1.50 No complaints here!!!!

"that Charlie is miserable". Yep, she is and don't swear in there 'cos she'll boot you out (unless your one of her friends and then it's OK to swear!). Honestly, a pub with a no swearing policy own by a Scot. I don't appreciate a lot of bad langauge but honestly what a joke!

Cheap drinks though (although coke is from cans and few draught beers leave a little to be desired). Good atmosphere when busy and regular Karaoke (bit of a venue for Karaoke). No outside seating and little parking.

Who writes these reviews? Late night on a Friday, it was empty.

Worst toilets I have EVER seen in a pub.

The clientele weren't too bad, though the landlady wasn't terribly welcoming.

I wouldn't go back. It's not worth the trip down the hill. If you're around here, walk to the bottom of East Hill and go to the Goat and Boot, a FAR nicer establishment.

Great prices - however the woman who owns the bar hates swearing and I have seen many an adult get a dressing-down infront of a crowded bar. Cringey!!!!

Great bar, even better prices, watch the swearing at the bar though, spent many happy nights in this place whilst at Uni, set yourself up for the night in here then head for Twisters followed by the Arts Centre....
