Popped in here while passing to see if was really as bed as the ratings suggest (0.7 / 10). In fact its possible worse than that, but I dont understand why as its a nice old building (an old nursery I believe) and could be a good pub, but the owners clearly dont have a clue and it shows

This now seems to be called KELWAYS, but it's just as bad as all previous comments suggest.
Luckily it's not obvious from the outside that it actually is a pub so it's easily missed.

I wonder if the Owners know that this is rated (by BITE contributors) as the worst pub in the country, outside of London...and it manages 7th worst overall including London!!
Will they finally take any notice?

Quite a nice pub but the food is truly appalling, the beer sour and cloudy and the "service" non existant.
There are many far betterpubs than this in the area, so it's hardly surprising that this is aleays empty and more oftenthan not, just closed.

This is a first class example of how not to run a pub. they must have undertaken a massive recruitment drive in order to find a sufficient number of totally miserable sour faced misery guts to work here. food is aweful so is the beer and the service is third world.
Pity, it's a nice siuation and could be a nice place, but none of the staff actually seem to want to work there.
