user reviews of the Parker McMillan, London

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Nice place to go for a drink, just dont work there.
And 'Stonch', i AM that lanky girl who was made to stand outside. The very fact that the physique of a worker is sufficient grounds to criticize a venue means that anybody with an ounce of intelligence will dismiss your review as it was evidently written by an insecure/foolish individual.

Oh, and if you had actually spoken to me, you would have quickly realised that I was most likely bored, but not scared. All in all, your 'word on this place' bears no shred of reality and you have evidently jumped to conclusions without any factual basis whatsoever. In fact, you have not even commented on the food/drinks/music, leading people to believe that in fact you have never even entered Parker McMillan, making the host the only observation you actually had. Perhaps you bear so much resentment for the place because i refused you entry?

Parker McMillan is a beautiful venue with fantastic food and drinks. Its just not fun to work for, thats all.

I can say without a shadow of a doubt the last poster is jumping to conclusions about the poster that they were referring too.

'Sorry mate but we're wise to your sort round here.'

Criticizing someone for there opinion is hardly 'wise'. Assuming that a positive review is an insider is just plain dumb.

I have been to Parker McMillan on a number of occasions and the drinks are extremely well made, the service fantastic, ambience very good and the product on offer first class (music, food and drinks menu).

If you find the concept of being welcomed as you enter a Bar/Restaurant/Music Venue crass then you can join Stonch at All Bar One, with all the other sensible people, I hear they do a fantastic, over-priced, cooked from frozen platter to share.

Parker McMillan is a great venue and fortunately you wont find the sort of sneering, obnoxious customers that refer in a derogatory manner to the staff as 'lanky & scared looking'.

On a final note with regards to the Anon poster, I'm suprised if they actually saw the office boys from Romford there or was it a conclusion from visiting the place? Have spoken to the General Manager in great length, it was pretty clear that the place was set up to completely put-off the Essex boy city types. A place that was to get away from that horrible city bar stereotype.

I can say wuthout a shadow of a doubt the last poster - who has not written any other reviews and seemingly registered solely to praise this pretentious pit - works for the place.

Sorry mate but we're wise to your sort round here.

A word on this place - frankly I find the policy of forcing a lanky, scared looking female staff member to stand outside in a black shirt, tie and knee high boots as some kind of "greeter" unimaginably crass and I expect any sensible person to agree with me.

Stunning.
Great atmosphere, tasty nibbles, friendly but efficient staff and a nice set of clientelle. And nice and convenient - right in the City.

I'll be going back.

Pretentious basement bar for back office boys from Romford. Best avoided, much like Digress which attracts the same sort of dross.

A lovely new local venue with loads of atmosphere to sit down and enjoy an evening with your friends. The staff and service is of high class and the amazing cocktails just keep drawing us back!
