Great pub. This has improved so much in the past year. The beer which was good is great. Have started to go more often.

Good beer, has a few guests on the go as well. Ugly tent at the front but a nice place to go and enjoy a beer. A lot better now than it used to be.

Now under new management and doing fine which is a good sign things are back on the up for this place. Deserves a good future.

Ah, The Fieldhouse. Now if ever there was a pub that needed to talk, this would be one of them.

One of the oldest buildings in Wightwick this boozer has been frequented and run by some real characters. For many years it had a brilliant mixture of respectable people slightly nervously rubbing shoulders with gentlemen rogues and starry-eyed youngsters who couldn't find the Mermaid down the hill. As these were normally female they seldom got away......

The pub was brought more into line by Harry and Joan and from there Paul Stearman coined it in during the late Eighties and early Nineties. Then the place fell into the doldrums with a succession of bad placements by the brewery who were keen to try and cash in on the rapidly receding glory years. When I last went in the place was being run by a screeching middle-aged woman who had a wierd belief that she was the saviour of the place. Don't think so luv.

A pity as this place has character in spades. It's somewhere cosy and out of the way so ideal to take your loved one there without the other half finding out. Like I used to do.

Oh yes, the beer's drinkable.

Not bad little pub in the summer with a decent vibe, definetly pop down if your passing. Stella on tap which is never a bad sign,

I like this pub, it's a convenient walk down an alley from Perton. Much better than the boy racer poser venue down the hill at the Mermaid. The building, room layout and garden are all very good.

I don't drink here because there's no MILD. C'mon Dawn get some MILD in.
