Took a long postponed crawl around the area and took in this pub which we havn't used for some time. Very friendly, though a bit quiet for a saturday. Nice clean pub and the ale was very good too, but limited to Fullers as its a Fullers pub. Only negative was the price of the ale, it was 50p more a pint than the Nell Gwynne. Can't be certain if the Nells ale was on promotion though I suspect Fullers are just a tad dearer. Still a nice pub all the same.

Well done. What a great result. We were discussing at work and thought that you had a great case but would get hammered by the fat football lawyers. Not often I'm so pleased to be wrong.

Well Done Karen, you got the ruling we were all praying for. Hope you pick up an award from the Palace for your efforts; wishing you every success in the future :-)

Had to go in with a name like that. Could be a good little pub but my pint of HSB wasnt all that. Must do better

Used to be a decent pub ,however some big fat scouse bird has got her hands on it now and it has really gone down hill. The toilets stink , the lights lack bulbs and unless you are a lesbian dont bother

Pleasant pub let down a little by the quality of the pint.

Congratulations Karen on your brilliant debut on national television. You looked so poised and nerveless as you stated your case so eloquently and put across your points. You looked as if you belonged on TV.Suzannah was my favourite but not any more! They should give you a job

Karen, Wonderful!!!! David and ... murdoc? This is fantastic news, hope all goes well with the final ruling. Monopolies are bad for us and making so many millions when we are all skint, pubs are suffering with a smoking ban and now lack of money to go out and it must be a struggle fro you to keep going. I can't stand football personally but hate to see pubs close because we'd all loose some friends if we didn't see them regularly for a night out. Well done to you for your efforts. Fantastic!!

Well Done Karen and your legal team, you stood by your principles and I hope and pray the result later this year is positive for you. I feel this will be a great year for Pubs especially with the demise of some of the Pubco's too - Next time I visit the clan in Pompey will pop in for a pint or two.

As far as I'm concerned, footbore, particularly on TV is death for a real pub, so I'll leave you to it.

Will be patronising this pub for Karen's brave actions in standing up to Sky TV. a real win for every pub that wants to show football.

football puts bums on seats, money in the till and keeps pubs alive.

football breathes life into pubs.

Murdoch says you can only show prem games if you pay him 13k a year +.

Slightly surprised to see the low rating as I find this place a perfectly pleasant pub. Tends to be fairly quiet, but then again if you want somewhere livelier then Albert Road is only a few minutes away. Decent enough if you want somewhere on a Saturday night where it's easy to have a chat with friends.

Most recent visit was a saturday night at 830 and it was dead as a dodo. Expensive drinks and not surprisigly no atmosphere - decor didnt help. A far cry from its hey days.

This used to be a good and respectable pub, until it changed management. Since Karen and her friends took over it has been turned into a dirty, unwelcoming place, with rude and obnoxious, and the standard of their drinks has gone from good to badand well the food served is also not very appetising. On the whole, if you're looking for a good pub, with good drinks and good food, don't go there.

One of the best pubs in Portsmouth now. Karen is doing a good job. The only place in the area where you can get something decent to eat and a good pint. Monday night quiz is a classic.

This used to be a very good locals pub until about 8 months ago when Bob and Julie left since then it has changed hands twice. The current landlady Karen seems to have an agenda of putting her friends into the pub and forget the people that have supported this pub for the last 16=20 years
All well and good but let's see if the tower block community can support it as well!!!!!
