I agree with the last comment regarding the so called service the bar staff offer to the paying customer.
In this current climate going to the pub is a luxury that most cannot afford but when you do you would expect so level of service but the staff here are just diabolical !

Went here at the weekend for a change as it's been nearly 6 months since the last time I ventured past their doors and to be honest it has actually changed in here- FOR THE WORSE !
The service is diabolical, only half a dozen people in the bar and the two bar staff couldn't cope, well they could if they stopped talking to one another and served the customers.
Come on oneils you can do better than this

stale is the only word that comes to mind, stale people, stale beer,stale bar staff and stale atmosphere. over priced, bad service, rotten food and no kids allowed which is surprising when you consider the childlike pranks the bar staff get up to while you're waiting 20 minutes to be served

seems to have a new manager in hear now have to say the service is much better and the staff are friendlier

Cheap bear, but full of weather-baten women who've been round the block more times than you've wolfed pot-noodle. The gent�s toilets have that concentrated wee smell that napalms your taste-buds. After visiting said loos your pint tastes of the son of a thousand urinations.
Benefits include; getting to know the bouncers. If you do befriend one, he'll eventually waive the �2 entrance fee but proceed to discuss apocalyptic violence. Don't stand near the band, it's not pleasant downing a Caffrey's with guitar feedback nuking your eardrums!

Very good pub try and pop in there most weekends, good bands, friendly people, bar service quick open till late. why bother paying expensive entre fees, double prices on drinks and agro from local night clubs when you can stay in this nice pub for half the price with a better atmosphere. Great night out.

great atmosphere!! really good food - and only had to wait 10 minutes! which i think is impressive for a PUB!!! great live band i've not heard before Alcatraz. Staff and manager were really friendly and helpful. the manager of the pub was out and about talking to the customer making sure we were all having a good old CRACK, which me and my mates sure did! im sure there were no apple sours left for anyone else when we were done!
