Prince, Walsallback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
10 minute walk from Walsall centre. Seems nothing has changed about this pub since the last review in 2013. Inviting exterior and sadly sparce interior. Only a pit stop for me however so can`t judge what it`s like of a night time. Cider very cheap but very limited choice otherwise.

Hardly back street, it's in the town centre and a prominent site.
After a period of closure it seems to be open again,pretty low key with not much to recommend it except cheap prices.

Decent sort of back street boozer. Seems like a new owner has taken it over who seems quite friendly. Two rooms on with a pub table in the back. Not all to much on tap

Update: The exterior of this pub is fantastic, its brick and green ceramic tile look. Terraced on one side, it has its car-park on the other.
The interior has two rooms; the smaller back one has a pool table, the main one is set up with a DJ rig, despite this being a small pub, for the loud Fri/Sat night entertainment. There is a large screen TV as well. The decor is pinkish/red walls, with prints of paintings on, but the place looks very tired and some of the seating way past its best. Service was functional and it was empty.
Beer; the usual tap stuff - with Youngers Best making a debut since i was last in. The guest real ale, was now Banks's bitter. I had the MILD on keg (there was a MILD pull in the other room - was it working?), which was as black as tar and tasted nothing like Banks's MILD.
Sadly, it will be a good while before i return here - seems to have really gone down hill.

Popped in for one on 19 July with my most excellent friend Archivist and his sidekick, JB. A most excellent pint of Altar Ale was dunk. Nice beer. Well worth a visit for pint.

Visited this pub several times, as it has a great historic name, and always felt welcome. Exterior is quality, a little plain inside though. The Mild is fine and they always have a guest ale or two - Gravedigger's Mild next week - Yum!

Plain but characterful town pub with exceptional guest ales from the barrel and a warm welcome - recommended.

Opposite the Cuckoo & Bell another pub with Banks's MILD, cask on electric pump here. There are so many other pubs with handpulls in Walsall so didn't stop to try the beer. Looked like an OK place, quite busy for so early on a Saturday evening.
