My wife and I used to drink here regularly, until recently. The pub itself is lovely, great atmosphere the majority of the time. Had a bad experience a few weeks ago one Sunday night, middle aged blonde women working. Unfortunately I was absolutely disgusted in the way she spoke to my wife, would not have expected that from the staff at this pub at all. Even with the reputation of how expensive The Princess is we still enjoyed drinking there. It's a shame we will not be returning.

As usual this month, on a Monday we went to this pub before our curry club went for food (cannot get a decent drink in the curry house). Ordered two glasses of wine and four beers (not cheap ) as usual, but upon tasting, the wine was sour (very sour) so I returned to the bar to replace them. The lone barmaid refused to replace them saying it was the landlords policy not to let her do so, and insisted I pay for new drinks. After a lot of polite arguing I paid for them, leaving my card so they could get in touch to apologize for this poor state of affairs and reimburse me. I haven't heard from them one week later so will in future use one of the many other (less expensive) pubs in Wollaston.

Its official! The Princess is now the dearest pub in Wollaston. They charge 3.05p for a pint of Enville which is 2.80p in the Gate and Grahams Place. The pub has had no revamp for the last 15years (at least) and many locals have given up the ghost. I did love this pub and posted my comments thinking Dave the landlord would read them and do something about it. I think he is more interested in squeezing what he can from his customers.Unless he reads this comment and decides to lower his profits a bit (which I doubt) then this will be my last comment. Im off to the Unicorn for a pint (2.45p) followed by an excellent pint of Enville ginger at Grahams Place (2.80p). Your greed has spoilt your pub Dave.

For some reason the pub has now has loud music in the background which spoils the ambience a little. Also, as a rather expensive pub im a little miffed that they can"t be bothered to provide soap in the gents. A bit mean I think.

A nice friendly pub but a round is rather expensive for the location.

Not a big fan of Banks's Original MILD but here it is truely exceptional. The best Banks's cask MILD on a handpull I've ever tasted. On Saturday night the pub was buzzing, even so managed to get served as soon as I stood at the bar. The place seems to be frequented by mainly older youngsters in groups including couples thus creating a friendly atmosphere.
