Great views from the benches out the front, Babbacombe is the best place in Torbay by far.
My Fosters was very good,in hindsight wished we had stayed for another.

8/10

I came in here for something to eat, but mainly to get away from a bunch of workmates incessantly talking shop in the Buccaneer.

The correct decision on several levels: better beer, food and conversation (none).

Had a decent pint here but it did feel more like a cross between a works canteen and a socia club.

Not your average beer drinkers establishment, however, the best pint in Babbacombe! Called in several times over the past couple of days and the Jail Ale was perfection in a glass. If you want a good beer in town, this is your place, just don't expect too much from the decor. best to sit outside in the sunshine on that one day in September and soak up the sea air.

Visited for a real ale as there was none on at our hotel next door, and enjoyed the Dartmoor Jail Ale. Also had a very good meal. We were too late for the carvery, but the steaks were first class.

Remember this place when it was an old Victorian hotel about 7 years back. I prefered the old layout as they seemed to do a slight 80s bodge 20 years too late. Still they made it busier. Have friends there who say the carvery is very good but never tried it, smelt lovely though. Service was OK and bar staff were quite chatty and fun too. However, have heard there are fights in there quite a bit which would worry me on say Saturday nights. It's nice to sit ouside though with the view and all beign very good.

re-visited on a holiday trip last week.
would re-iterate my previous comment from last year.

Hotel, carvery and bar.
Cliff-top, sea-view bar, with decked outdoor seating. Pleasant in the summer.
Modern style.
3 local cask ales. Princetown & 2 Bays. 2.50/pint
pleasant, clean, well-lit bar with a mix of diners and drinkers.
