Old building with modern interior and a courtyard for smokers. Had a dreadful pint of Bedrock which I had to leave. Sterile atmosphere - somewhere to bring your Granny for afternoon tea to.

Spent a bit longer in here than planned (because other Tisbury pubs were shut) and did had an enjoyable visit, with good pints of Otter, Ringwood and Doom Bar.

Classic British pub in the interior and now there's a pool table in one part as well which is very popular with the locals. This is a local pub although people are friendly. Has Doombar in the ale selectin, which is a big vote winner and the staff are friendly enough.
if you smoke there's a courtyard outside with shelter and heater as well as picnic tables so we just sat outside a lot of the time.

well, the Crown Inn has worn rather since March 2006.
Interior is tired and tatty, service on an early thursday evening was tired & grumpy, beer selection was limited......the Ringwood Best Bitter was acceptable, but not spectacular.
very average small country town pub.

Nice enough pub to spend an evening - I'd normally give it a 7/10 but the owners have voted on their own place (clearly very highly!) and used the 'user comments' space as free advertising. Come on talk about unfair play - it goes against the grain of this site.

A beautiful 16th Century Coaching Inn, set in a lovely rural village setting, opposite the 2nd oldest church and Ewe Tree in the country.
Traditional Ales & Fine Wines are available from the bar & can be quaffed in front of a roaring log fire in winter. Freshly ground Italian style coffee & teas are always available too. In summer we have a pretty courtyard, again with that rural feel. Our restaurant offers great quality traditional food with a contemporary twist at affordable prices. The two fully trained chefs can also adapt to your requirements, as all food is prepared in the kitchens from the freshest of local produce. Vegetarian & allergy intolerant customers are catered for also.
There are over 100 miles of public footpaths locally to walk off your meal in some of the most breathtaking countryside in the UK.
So why not visit The Crown Inn soon, where Martyn & Elaine will give you the warmest of welcomes and a meal you won't forget.
