Great, says fozzy - who's never been at Fever.

And where a lady was attacked with a champagne bottle, over the weekend.

Rating an outlet before it opens, is as silly as 123...
brewmason - 14 Sep 2016 18:02
Reopening tonight after the refurb. Now called Fever & Boutique. Ignore the low rating its worth a ten at least. Its gonna be great.
fozzy123 - 9 Sep 2016 10:43
Its closed for a few weeks being refurbished.
You ought to go there sometime with your mates. Ha ha. Loser.
fozzy123 - 14 Aug 2016 17:02
Don't know where you've been, y123 - but this place has been closed for some time!
croydonpeer - 14 Aug 2016 15:57
Great fun on a saturday night with the 2 for 1 cocktails. Music is tops. Babes galore. I usually either end up here or the boogie lounge. Thursdays they do all drinks for a pound. Thats ok but full of alkies.
fozzy123 - 6 Aug 2016 09:28
needs a refurb, full of chavs, TOTALLY overpriced - entry price is rediculous, drinks prices too are ludicrous.
kmonkey - 23 Oct 2009 11:37
Can't really add to what has already been said as it is mostly spot on. I have been here a few times and always when too drunk to know better. It is either empty (looking sad, forlorn and in desperate need of refurbishment) or rammed (uncorfortable and chav city). I'm probably too old for it anyway, I'm certainly old enough to know better.

I have travelled to many a pit of doom in my years but this particular dive resembles the 7th pit of Hell....

The only thing that can be worse than going in here is maybe a 7 car pile up or a sudden amputation of a limb....

If you want a glass in your face or a dose of the HIV then crack on in here on a Friday/Sat night...

Nice!!!

Hi There, I'm Ollie, a resident of Epsom for 27 years now!!

I guess I'm middle class but either way, no one I socialise with goes to Chicago's. The place is aweful, looks rough, stinks of booze, piss and sick, and costs an arm and a leg. As an indie kid at heart, I would rather head out to Brixton or Clapham on a night out - rather LESS chance of getting beaten up there methinks!!

In the case of Epsom as a whole, I've just come back after living for a year in Sheffield, and before that was living in South London, so haven't lived at 'home' for around 3 or 4 years now - the place is improving. There are more diverse bars here now, plus more places suitable for people in their late twenties / early thirties (like what I am lol!!)

As for the 'ladies' if you like completely fat, ugly, common slappers then this will do you a treat. I have a higher standard I'm afraid (private education did me the world of good!!!)

Cheers, OT.

I used to come here years ago.

Never had a bad night out in 'shittys'.

Its in need of a total refurb, maybe hold an indie/alternative night there. That is what Epsom lacks. An alternative night free from idiots.

in reply to tinkerbella's last message...
I beg to differ, If you could get your hands on the incident reports by the local police (which you cant) you would see that infact the number of fights reported in or arround the chicago "rock" cafe, be they middle class or girls, are in fact growing in number. name me a weekend which has passed by fight free, I will eat my imaginary hat.
harrynotlarryfool - 18 Feb 2007 15:53
Hi, I work at Chicago's and I would just like to saywe certainly do not have a special mop for blood, the toilet attendant in the male toilets has a mop to clean up when men cannot quite aim just right, which is a necessity unless you would like to traipse someone else's urine around all night.

As far as Chicago's goes, it is improving, the new doorstaff we have are much gentler than the ones we had when I first started and so the number of fights we are renouned for have decreased, the management are doing what they can to keep out the more undesirable population of Epsom so it is definately less pikey, and in fact any trouble that we have nowadays is unfortunately girly hair pulling or middle class men who are lovely at the beginning of the night but sadly let themselves down.

We cannot do anything more with this place until it is refurbished as no matter how good we make it, the fact that it is falling apart will mean that you are not going to want to spend huge lengths of time in there. And I pray that this is soon, because this place has such potential that cannot be reached.

Why, why, why does this place still stink of vomit after 2 years of me being there. They really need to get the carpets cleaned big time. Other then that its still a shit night out in "shitargos cock cafe". The place could do with being totally gutted and started from scratch again. If you see this comment manager of chicagos one word for you = REFURB.............
anonymous - 26 Nov 2006 17:35
Wow! Somebody really has a problem with this place don't they?! I haven't been living in Epsom long but I have to say that I do love Chicago's at the weekend!

Ok, the place does look a tad dated and could do with a well earned lick of paint and new carpet but the atmosphere is always electric once it starts getting busy after 11!

Daddy_dave must've been in a completely different place to me last Friday as the DJ was lovely and very polite - and there was a message on everyone of their many screens stating 'Text The DJ your requests'.

As with the I.D comment, whilst I have been queuing each time to get in here, everyone has been I.D and the doorstaff and management have been very polite about it. Maybe we should be giving the younger people a chance rather than 'tarring them all with the same brush'.

I don't usually bite to other peoples comments but everyone should really check this place out for yourselves as I think that most of these comments have been posted as a childish way to get back at the staff or management or someone as it has been stated before.

I do hope that whoever runs it now realises that they could be sitting on a gold mine if they could only put some cash into maybe a mini refurb!
oohahhjustanotherone - 8 Aug 2006 14:37
I am not part of the new management, i just like it there, each to their own I guess.
anonymous - 5 Aug 2006 05:06
The place is a dive and full of kids no matter what drinks offers they put in it will still be a second rate night out. I think the person that wrote the previous message needs to open their eyes when they are in there to see the trouble that the place has or possibly its the new managent that have put the message on there and thats why it's a good report from a place thats clearly going down hill fast!!!!
anonymous - 4 Aug 2006 14:50
Personally, I think Chicago's has improved no end, Saturday's have a new DJ who actually plays different music each week and prices have dropped with drinks offers every night. The fact that I have never seen a fight in here is testament to the fact the doorstaff must be doing a good job as trouble will happen but it's obviously being kept out of my eye. And does anyone else think it's a bit odd that many negative comments were made on the same day, so maybe those people need to formulate their own opinion on what constitutes a good night out rather than listen to their mates or the old manager.
anonymous - 31 Jul 2006 22:39
This is not a pub, it's a youth club...
Jack_Carter - 24 Jul 2006 21:03
I have been to this place numerous times. I have been attacked unprovoked twice in this place, there is a fight outside virtually every night, awful music, awful people, I dont need to save the pennies, but whatever they charge will be too expensive for this dive. I dont know how places like this can still exist. The doorman are petty and power hungry (like most doorman) and I believe if this place were shut down, most of Epsoms crime rate would be wiped out.
pubtruth - 3 Jul 2006 21:21
Yeah "Pubtruth", you couldn't be more off base on this place! It's a theme pub:"a bad 80s Essex teen disco in the heart of Epsom"... crammed full of Real ASBO Chavs (out of towners fresh from the bus) and Chav wannabees (the public school locals from the nice houses in the area)... ALL under the age of 17. Sure there is the nightly punch up, but be fair, no one ever has been shot there! (... as far as I know anyways)..... And they deep fry things there too! Yum. It's a sort of a place for local public school children to interact with Chavs... kinda like a human petting zoo. I think it's a fantastic place!... so back off "Pubtruth" and get your facts right....lol
anonymous - 26 May 2006 18:42
me n my m8's go ere almost every weeks, its the biggest laugh eva!!! there are a few nice birds there 2, the beers not 2 expensive only 3 a pint.
dannyboi - 3 Apr 2006 17:19
I agree its a good night out if you like pop and chart music, The place is old and needs a bit of a refurbishment but it's still a good night out
anonymous - 23 Mar 2006 23:05
How over the top can you get pubtruth? When was the last time you went there i'm sure I was a long time ago from the way you speak.
Chicagos is a great night out for those wanting a late drink. Yeah the prices aren't the cheapest in town but go to some of the other light night venues in Epsom and you'll see that their prices are higher.
Maybe you should go in before 10pm when it's free entry and buy one get one free drinks if you are that worried about saving a couple of pennies pubtruth

thepubcrawler - 23 Mar 2006 23:02
The most revolting, violent and over priced place I have ever been to. If you want to go home in an ambulance then this would be ideal.
pubtruth - 19 Mar 2006 22:17
Not exactly chav free it is Epsom after all but a lot less than you get in other places in town. It is a great night out though if you do like your oldies and pop music, i went last Sat and i had a fantastic time loads of fit girls the staff and doorstaff were very friendly and efficient.
I must say this place has got so much better now there is a new manager he really seems to care if people are having a good time or not.
I would recomend if you haven't been before to go and have a great night and if you do go there i might see you at some point.
hoff - 3 Mar 2006 17:47
Great place to go out know the management has changed. Yeah its one of the older places in town but its still going strong. Something different going on every night from the student night on a Tuesday (which i must say fantastic loads of girls and cheep drinks before 10pm) to there full blown party night on a saturday. Great fun, no attitude, no chavs and great service one of my fave places to go out and have some fun. Would def recomend
