Sir Richard A. bought the property in 2009 to install an orchard and garden. He intends to preserve the facade.

A human skull was found buried there this week! thought to be related to an old Richmond murder mystery.

i lived in this pub, then known as the park road arms, in 1954
with my parents, would be interested if there is anyone out there that knew margaret and peter, shame this is an end of an era.

A 'For Sale' sign has appeared in recent days...

Does anyone know what's happening here? The place appears to have been untouched at all since it closed for a refurbishment circa July 2006.....

Another of Richmonds real pubs bites the dust - whats the point in another gastro pub with the dreadful Marlborough just around the corner ????

CLOSED - yes it's true - another Richmond pub has closed. I know this because it was reported in the Richmond and Twickenham Times last week. Oddly, this was probably the only Richmond pub that I don't ever recollect going to - and now I probably never will. The paper reports that it has been sold for possible conversion into a gastro pub / restaurant ( yes, I know, another one ! )

A bit grotty really. Seems to attract a rather odd crowd. Never really felt very welcoming

Not what you would expect judging from it's environs and all the better for that. Like a working mans club but with a Rugby bent. The staff and locals are delightfully friendly and that goes one hell of a long way in a place as basic as this. Well worth the effort if you are in the area and it's cheap to boot.
Good for: Richmond Hill pub crawl or if you like Rugby then watching the game.

Tiny little pub, and not that busy, but has a good vibe and is considerably less pretentious than other pubs nearby

They are great on a saturday evening when Richmond Chamber Symphony have finished a gig and bring the whole bloomin orchestra down! Friendly staff and locals who bring their cute pets along (Hello Maisie the dog!) And they don't persecute you after 11pm. Relaxed and cosy. Yum!

Strange place! Food is cheap but not the greatest, nice location and nice friendly barman but I think it's seen better days

Looks like the landlord is a cricket fan and the landlady likes toy witches. Or maybe it's the other way round?
