Friendly staff, great home-cooked food and well-kept beer (usually four real ales on the go at any one time). Also has a decent-sized function room out the back available for hire. Lovely little pub!

Can't understand how this places makes it into the GBG tbh. Appeared to be only (a very uninspiring) Hobgobblin and Brakspear on, draught ale wise. Asked landlady if it was just those two on, she replied; 'No, we have Brakspear on too'!!! transpied they had an unclipped 'guest' on, which was so flat, lifeless and incipid to be drinkable!
Poor place!

Excellent little pub. Landlord and landlady very welcoming, made to feel at home at all times. Three real ales on. Fresh home cooked food available lunch times.

Without a doubt, my favourite pub in the whole of Oxfordshire!

Great local pub, which hasn't changed in literally years [for the better!] still run by Gerry and co in the same friendly style. If your bored of generic revamped pups clamoring for every penny or simply not up to scratch vs service this is how to do a proper home from home pub.

No frills, not in your face, good decent food at amazing prices, made by lovely dears in aprons.
3 hand pumps, well kept, bombardier, GK IPA, Tunnel Vision (Guest ale from somerset) enjoyed the latter over a massive ploughmans.
Kidlington is a place worth circumventing, but this is a pub and style that has all but disappeared elsewhere so go as much as you can before its gone

Excellnt pub. Found by accident and has been our first choice ever since. Food is ALWAYS excellent. The toastie and soup deal is great. Always a few choices: roast etc. A few choices of desserts.
Staff always helpful.

Highly agreeable well preserved small locals pub. Three handpumps, serving Bombardier, GKIPA, and a (normally) very interesting guest. Very good value old fashioned pub food served from 12-2pm. Traditional, unspoilt, and very highly recommended.

Nice pub. Good ale (Rebellion Zebedee and three others). Very attractive and friendly Polish barmaid.

So there is a decent pub in Kidlington! Got there the other night, very much a local type place but good for a quiet pint, well kept Bomabardier, interesting trinkets on the wall and a friendly landlady who remembered all our drinks (6 of us) when we went up for the second round!

All in all a very welcome discovery in the area.
