please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

We went to see NL - France here, they had a great big screen. The staff was very helpful. We enjoyed the food, my pumpkin dish looked a bit little at first but it was very nice and filling, little pricy though. The atmosphere really picked up once the nearby 20-20 game finished.

HUP HOLLAND HUP!

The White Horse seems to have firmly established itself now and has a healthy-sized group of regulars. Particular strong points: the large overhead fans that keep things cool on a warm day, key football games being played on either a large retractable flat screen or a smaller inobtrusive screen by the bar, good range of wines, changing (albeit a little overpriced) menu, the interesting wooden interior with range of seating options (sofas, booths, table & chairs) It's a lovely space and the staff are always helpful & friendly.

It's a good crowd that seems to frequent this bar- local business people, respectable neighbours and quite a large gay crowd. However, the food is not up to much and is very expensive! The Pilgrim down the road is much better for a good Sunday roast and pint of Adnams

The management here in all fairness are very good. But the bar has started to look shabby. The food is ok, but seriously overpriced.

friendly table service, sadly the food is utter crap - at the very least seriously over priced, to add insult there is a 12.5% service charged added with the bill - dont be lured by the open plan kitchen at the back. What real ales there are are served freezing cold and lifeless as in so many of londons pubs. Maybe this was why it was so empty on a saturday lunchtime. Not worth bothering with unless your local (and desperate)

Busy bar run by a great manager and very friendly staff.Good food and good service.Super wine list and bar staff make up some amazing cocktails.Seating and tables are generous. This all makes for a wonderful atmosphere and a good night out. I love it.

Quite a nice place. Went on a Saturday night when it was rammed, but looked like the sort of place that might be a little sterile if there were any fewer people in.

Excellent pub, well kept TT Landlord and extremely helpful staff. Not sure if there's been a change in chef (ref previous comments) but have eaten here a few times now and never been disappointed - food always cooked to a very high standard. Agree it's quite "gastro" but pulls it off well if that's your bag. Sister pub to the Abbeville in Clapham Common I believe.

Overpriced and i cant figure out why??? Apart from the refurb which was an average job, the food and drink is no better than avarage also. I prefer the Pilgrim just down the road. Its everything a pub should be.

No problems with the heating on a recent visit and generally good experience with tasty, if expensive, food and good service

food is ok and staff are firendly enough. However, the heating doesn't seem to work making it pretty uncomfortable and the atmosphere is pretty cold as well. Arent there enoughof these anodyne 'gastro' pubs already? Dull and I won't bother going in there again.

Formely La Finca tapas bar, The White Hart has only been open for a few weeks and is a natural rival to The Dog House over the road, although it wants to consider itself a gastropub. I went there for a meal with three friends last week, and wished I'd stayed away.

I've already popped in for drinks on a few occasions, and found it to be ok, although quite cold, and also too loud for a conversation. Also no/poor table service - which La Finca did provide.

Anyway back to the food - at £10 and over for a main course it's not cheap pub grub, nor is it tasty. One very fatty lamb shank - sent back. Two fish - tough but eaten, one completely wrong order - sent back but waitress didn't appear to care. Cheesecake - served with spoons?

The manager was apologetic, but he really needs to send his staff for customer service training or he's fighting a losing battle!!

So bad service, bad food, pricey. Good atmosphere, location, beer and wine.

Basically stay away for food - at least for a good six months until they've sacked the current chef and got their act together in the kitchen, but it's ok for a drink. Let's hope it's just teething problems, as it would be nice if it was good!

More restaurant than pub in many ways but not bad for that, good competition for the Dog House across the road. It seems to attract quite a few political types - I spotted two MPs on a recent visit dining with companions (who I assumed to be their wives)

Seems to be 'gastro'pub with requisite restaurant menu, table service and expensive prices. Standard range of beers and good number of wines. It was very busy on a recent visit so I guess they must be doing something right!
