Called in here after passing it on many occasions over the years, call in you will be suprised! Nice modern bar with good selection of continental beers. Got mixed grill with real chips, wife got lasagne. Both superb! Will definately be back!

It's been on the go for years, but despite the name, is no longer trapped in the eighties after a refit a few years back. Looks a bit "canteen" styled when it's quiet with uniform seating, but gets a bit more atmospheric when busy. Not as cheap as its neighbour, "The Lowther" but a damn sight cleaner and smarter. The downside ... a bit pricey.

A really nice little bar, with great drinks selection, good food on the menu, and great city centre location. Recently refurbed and expanded, and I think it has a late license.
