user reviews of the Concorde, Rainham

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I felt the need to post a review about the Concorde pub, because so many of the reviews on here are so out of date and give the wrong impression of the pub as it is now.
With a lot of work and commitment from the new landlord the Concorde is a great community and family pub with live entertainment, even events on a Sunday afternoon for all the family.
Menus have been printed and we look forward to meals in the near future.
The customers are a good lot and like a bit of banter, we do like to have good time, boring old farts we are not, ask any of the youngsters that use the pub.
All you have to do is go to The Concorde Rainham supporters club, on facebook an see for youself.

Pub was taken over just over a year ago by a local guy from the area and the transformation has been fantastic. The pub is now very welcoming and the landlord has a zero tolerance to anti social behaviour of any kind. The pub is seeing changes for the better on a regular basis and is now very family friendly.
There is a selection of toys for the kids to use along with a beer garden and sweet machine. There is posters up promoting live bands that will be on in the pub along with a free jukebox and free pool table on sundays together with a meat raffle. There is no food served currently but that will be coming in soon after the major exterior works are done. There are credit card facilities on site, under 18s are allowed in till 9pm and there are no dogs allowed.

Pub is well worth a visit if you want a relaxed evening during the week or a few drinks on a weekend to begin your night out.

My partner and I have recently visited for (what we thought) would be a quiet drink in a newly renovated pub. How we got it wrong! From the start of walking in we were greeted with what we can only describe as the 'down and out' locals of Rainham. Old grumpy men who, if not given the right Ale to drink sod off and moan. At the far end of the bar sits one awful sight of a woman, who we can only describe as looking like a bulldog chewing a wasp with what we can assume is her husband who's covered head to toe in gold (the normal chavs of Rainham).

Behind the bar are 3 ladies, 2 of which seem ok to be fair, the other needs to learn how to crack a smile or two!!

The food is non existent along with the cold atmosphere of ale drinkers, ale drinkers and more ale drinkers. This pub clearly has lots of room for improvement and COULD be a great place for a night out.

In other words if your not local, your not welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steer very clear, waste of time and our hard earned money.

Deafeningly loud music, migraine-inducing lighting and a rack of foul British fizz with one lukewarm and semi-flat mass produced real ale. At least the last landlord tried.

Now it is just another Medway Towns 'yoof' pub - NOT recommended.

The Concorde's new owners will be taking over from 11th November and closing for a transforming renovation on 11th November until 30th November. The new pub will be decorated and furnished to create a fun family pub and restaurant, and also a lively fun pub on the weekends! Good beer, home cooked food served daily, sky sports on up to 7 new screens and full party/catering facilities will be some of the new features! All welcome to the opening party on 30th November!

This pub has recently been taken over by a new landlord and I must say there is a better atmosphere here now. All of the staff are friendly and I believe Live Entertainment is going to be a regular event. Pay a visit, even if you've been before, I think you will be pleasantly surprised1

Can't fault the quality of the ale in here, Doom Bar as the house beer with 2 guest ales, recently Old Dairy Silver Top which was fantastic with prices around the 2.70 to 2.90 mark.

OMG ! What a difference , the last time i visited this pub, it had a great landlord and landlady , exellent beer, food, and a great atmosphere ! Now after a coat of undercoat ! the beer is served with a fizzer on ,and the bland boring cheap brews that were on offer were well ! CRAP . Don,t know who the landlords meant to be , but there was a Roy Orbison lookalike wandering around collecting glasses ! Don,t think i,ll be going back there again . Shame another one bites the dust !

Had the chance to check this pub out at long last, after hearing good reports on how much the place has improved since been taken over. Well if first impressions are anything to go by, you'll be giving this one a miss!
The pub reminds me of the one out of the TV program "Shameless" it's a real throw back and not in a good way.
Two real ales on my visit, Bombardier and Brains SA Gold.
Well I must say the SA Gold I sampled was one of the best pints I have ever had in the Medway Towns, a truly superb pint!
I judging by all the beer badges behind the bar, they are rotated regularly. This landlord obviously takes pride in his beer and rightly so but it's a shame about the pub itself.
Although I can't see myself being a regular, I will have to pop in now again just to sample the great beer.

This pub has greatly improved since Hazel and Phil have taken over, friendly staff and three real ales of which Ive never had a bad one.Reasonably priced food and you would need to be pretty hungry to finish the superb fish and chips.

used to use it many years ago and having moved back to the area revisted a couple of times.

WONT be going back, staff unfriendly, landlady looks like she is going to kick off with you as soon as you ask for a drink, beer horrible, food just about worth the money and the customers are the same as before i left the area.
