No longer a Chicago's, now called Tom Peppers - other than the name change it's just as bad as it ever was - but if I were 19 I'd probably love it.

Everyone knows what Chicagos are about, same thing here as anywhere else. Beer is absolutely horrific though, one evening I must have asked to swap my drink 5 times, kudos to the bar staff for putting up with my moaning but drink really is awful. Every pint no matter what seems to have a metallic taste.

Last time I went there it appeared to be hosting a weight-watchers convention! Everything is as you would expect from a chain establishment, busy, too few staff and average everything. Ladies wear a nappy on weekend nights, because the toilet facilities are unable to cope with more than 5 people it seems!

Bog standard chain bar, which attracts a more mature client base looking for a quasi club, bar with dancing. Pluses are has large garden area out the back and is large insider, negatives are its all a mddile of the road and lacks character. Generally average.

Quite nice during the week nights, food is nice, no general complaints other than how silly it is that you can't take your drinks on the dancefloor, and that the DJ's and bouncers practically throttle you if you dare to do so - understand about the risk of glass being broken and floors being sticky etc, but surely its just as dangerous seeing as the place where you have to leave them is where loads of blokes are looking at the girls on the dancefloor - I would never leave my drink on the side, and you cant even go up to the side and have a quick sip if you are standing on the dancefloor - its just so stupid. Other than that no other grumbles! Is nice to sit outside in the evenings. Clean loo's etc
