Lunched here on 25 June. Service was good as was the food. Six real ales available and the Palmer's Copper Ale was excellent.

Stopped off for a couple of pints as I was passing through the village and received a friendly welcome and had some excellent Timothy Taylor's Landlord. Seven real ale pumps with Harveys, Directors, Landlord, Cornish Coaster, Doom Bar (why *is* that vile dishwater so ubiquitous?), Otter and Abbott. Cosy traditional local, would definitely return.

I'd like to change my earlier review of this place. The beer is still good but the food has gone downhill a lot.

Visited this pub for the first time in a while last Saturday, I recieved a warm welcome and downed a couple of well kept pints of Doom Bar. Its still in my view the best pub in the village and thats not to say the others are bad. Well worth a try.

Visited the pub on a holiday day out, mid-week lunch time, had a nice meal, good portions and a very nice pint of sharp's doom bar (very good selection of beers). Our three kids enjoyed the experience, a good flat enclosed garden although the play bits were for toddlers only. One small draw back is the number of signs up communicating what you are not allowed to do (no push chairs, no dogs, no small groups using large tables etc etc, maybe the locals are less well behaved than the rest of the country?)

Funny that this pub has sudenly got three reviews hyping it up again and all from people that have never used site before, reading my honest personal opinion, so bad when pubs start this nonsence just for their own image

A great place for food and friends. Beers excellent - particularly Taylor's Landlord.

Great traditional family pub with good food, especially the home made pies, great atmosphere & above all an excellent selection of well kept ales. The landlord has just added Directors to the selection which was one of the best pints of Directors I have had in years, nice & clear & just the right temperature. There is a lovely garden too which is well kept & sheltered. Having been here numerous times I can assure equitablyabove board that they do serve local ales as well as more established brands & I have never had a duff pint.
Staff are friendly & the Landlord & Land lady couldnt be nicer. Give it a try, Its by far the best pub for miles.

good food. good atmosphere. good mix of locals and visitors. the harveys was excellent and the timothy taylor landlord was the best i have tasted in a long time. we found the pub whilst out walking the dog along the seafront, the dog and my friends were all made to feel very welcome. we will all be returning to the fox when we are next down for goodwood.

Well all I can say is "equitablyaboveboard" must have rocks in his head! This pub is a great old fashion English pub . My parents live in Felpham and we love going to this pub when we visit. You always get a friendly welcome from the staff and the landlord/landlady, they've never made me feel unwelcome. And as for the beer, I've never had a bad pint and I know they've got Sussex ales because I've drunk them! The food is great too, loads of it and reasonably priced, especially their steak & ale pie - just like granny used to make! Added bonus no TV, pool table or Karaoke, so doesn't appeal to the young or rowdy - great!! I just wish we had a pub as good as this near us.

Good family pub with excellent garden one of the best in the area offering a wide range of things to do for kids. Very friendly staff, good food, most of it locally produced.

Sorry but no cigar had not been to the Fox for a while and after reading their own hype I was looking forward to my visit over Christmas, what a shame, used to be so good but now it just does not live up to the hype, food below average, beer hazy, probably to many on for the turnover so not kept well, you are made to feel like you are just another holiday maker from Butlins, and the landlady was quite rude to me when I asked about why there were no longer Gribble Brewery Beers on as, all good pubs should 'and most do' suport their local Breweries, I am a member of local West Sussex CAMRA and dont know of any reason for them blow on about how much we love them and I heard in the pub that the other garden award was won becouse they were the only entry. Never mind the Old Barn and the George inn in the same village live up to the Foxe's hype and are well worth a visit.

This is a good pub. The best in Felpham, possibly also Bognor. There's a good selection of beer, the food is good (though not the puddings!) and no TV screens.
