It is permanent - flats are being built in it's place

Was closed on Saturday night (17/12/11) - not sure if it's temporary or permanent.

No idea how this place survives. It seems to have about 10 regulars who treat it as their living room. Harmless though. Needs a refurb inside and now appears to be up for sale.

Nothing special but reasonable enough pub. Doesn't have the largest floorspace in the world so fairly packed even when there are only a dozen or so customers in. Range of drinks is somewhat limited but the pints of IPA I had were pretty decent (and much better than the beers we had just down the road at the unbelievably overrated by local CAMRA branch Lord Nelson) and price was fair and service good. The also do Tayto crisps which is a bonus. Beer garden doesn't crack particularly easy on the eye, but is a nice place to enjoy your beer without feeling claustrophobic in the main bar.
Seems to have a higher ratio of TV screens to square footage than most pubs and with the compact and intimate atmosphere, I would imagine this would be a pretty good place to watch your choice of sport with a little atmosphere.
Not worthy of a trip out of your way, but if you happen to be passing approach wihtout fear.

Doesn't really look like a pub from the outside but the inside has the look of one of those rustic inns. Irish band on playing diddly music on this visit - okay if that's your thing. Only GK IPA on offer so went for the Stella. It's okay I suppose but nothing special. Only short stroll to the hospital should you require the A & E.

A largely inoffensive smallish single bar pub on the main Wood Street road into Barnet. A couple of window alcoves and then a collection of wooden tables and chairs throughout the rest of the bar. Also a decent size garden out the back and a couple of tele's for watching the sport.
Its a GK house with Abbott and IPA on the last time I was in.

I popped in here for a quick pint on Monday and thought it was a very pleasant pub. The staff and customers were very polite and the lager was very good.

Handy if youre visiting Barnet hospital.
