Was back in Henley yesterday and re-visited this pub when it was open. Alas on a Busy sunny Tuesday afternoon in Henley my mate and myself were the only people in the Pub. Nice well kept secluded garden in the back but the Bar area was dark and cluttered. Nice Pint of Brakspears Bitter. Pub may be better in the evenings. No hurry to go back, plenty of better in the town.

Went here yesterday Lunchtime as part of the "Brakspears Henley Ale Trail". Unfortunaely it was CLOSED due to several factors. New people had ony just taken over and they were not opening until 16:00. But they told me that the previous owners did not open on a Monday anyway. So a bit dissapointing. Will go back next week to see what it is like but it will not be on a Monday

A little on the expensive side, but they have a nice garden

A decent, if perhaps uninspiring from a drinking perspective, upmarket Henley pub.

It's a foody, dim-candlelight sort of place in the evening. My Brakspear Bitter (the only ale) was decent, no complaints.

There's better in Henley for a beer but it's decent for what it is.

Having never been here in the evening I guess I can't give this pub a fair all-round review. However from my frequent visits in the day I can say this place is a fantastic lunchtime venue - best pub food for the price in Henley (or anywhere else I can think of). I've found the Rose & Crown relaxing and unpretentious, the staff friendly and the beer good too. Recommended.

Yet again another great visit to the Rose & Crown,
The management & staff are all very welcoming, first class service.
Such a shame the previous comment had a bad experience, I must say I have not ever seen the problems they had. maybe a bit over the top.
Had a great roast dinner, I had the rare roast beef & my wife had the roast pork,
A first class operation all round

What a BIG disappointment the Rose and Crown was last Sunday. One waitress was rushed off her feet and when our food arrived over an hour after we'd ordered it, and just as we were about to stand up and leave, we asked if she was working alone. She informed us that the manager was also working... who'd have known? There was no sign of her taking orders, delivering food to tables or pulling a pint. All this was left to one poor, overworked girl who was doing her very best.

We asked to see the manager and when she came over to ask if everything was alright, it turned out she was a woman we'd thought was a customer because she'd been swanning about the place showing off her baby. We told her the bar was understaffed and how long we'd waited for our meal and asked if there was only one member of staff on duty. She replied "No, I'm working as well, but I have to look after my son." She was unapologetic and her tone was defensive, bordering on agressive - not the best way to treat your customers. She was not prepared to make amends in any way or even understand why we might have been upset so we left our untouched food on the table, paid for our drinks and left. If this woman thinks she can run a business like this, she should seriously think again.

Stayed here and witnessed a first-class old inn in operation. Good breakfast, too. Nice, herby aroma coming from behind the bar in the morning.

It is great to see the Rose & Crown going back to a great pub again.
I wish craig & Rebecca the new landlords all the very best, the food and accomadation is out of this world. will be seeing you both very soon.

'Terrace' pub, with a very homely feel to it as one would expect. Brakespears is served on tap, but this is the only real ale. Nice beer garden for the summer.
