***Just about to be turned into a Pret A Manger***

Sadly it seems like this place will never be a pub again.

Currently closed awaiting the new owners / tennants to move in...unsure when this will be.

Nearest pub to my new office, literally across the road.

I know it's a Greene King pub but feels like a poor mans 'spoons and that's saying something!

Fine to pop in for a post work pint but I wouldn't want to stay here for more than 2 drinks as its dull and soulless.

Price is fine for the area but don't expect too much.

The experience is something between an airport lounge and a school refectory. OK if you limit yourself to a about an hour and a frame or 2 of pool.... and you don't mind predictable packaged food and rather dull ales. I'd say stick to the Guiness unless you're Irish in which case ...just dont.

Part of a rather unattractive building - with particularly vulgar signage above the main entrance - built on a fixed pontoon in Millwall Inner Dock. Inside, it is done in usual Greene King managed pub style with a modern(ish) and soul-less corporate feel. However, if you can get onto the balcony when there are not hordes of smokers outside then the benefits of its location become apparent. Beer-wise, there are handpumps offering Abbot and Ruddles but no IPA (and as I had a free voucher for a pint of this, I had to settle for the hideous 'smooth' version). Overall, you feel that this place suffers from being built a bit early in the docklands redevelopment and that if it were done now they would make a much better job of things. PS - There is one of the enormous old cranes nearby which is worth a look at.

As the other pubs on the Isle close this is becoming noisier and louder. Just really a Wetherspoons on water.

For a place in such a vibrant and exciting area, Spinnaker is immensely underwhelming. Extremely poor customer service, shoddy presentation, and massively overpriced for what is offered. The mainly Lithuanian and Latvian staff struggle with English and struggle even more with politeness and customer service. I noticed an aging blonde dumpy woman, apparently the manager, behave very rudely with customers.

Bizzarely, there is a Coffee Republic sign which naturally suggests there is an integral Coffeehouse - this is not the case, there is only a Coffee Republic-brand instant coffee maker.

This place is one of the most soul-less pubs I've ever been to. The main bar feels a bit like your office with low tables and chairs, especially as it's always full of be-suited office types. There are far better pubs nearby.

On the other hand, it's out of the way, cheaper than other nearby pubs and bars at the Wharf (not saying much, but true) and a little quieter. There's a little area where you can stand and overlook the river, plus some pool tables.

It's bad in a harmless way, and you could do far worse in the area. Just don't expect character...

I used to drink here 2years ago when there were friendly happy staff and the manager was a lovely lady called Claire. Recently moved back to this area and found the Spinnaker had changed Manager and staff and was a miserable badly run place with a manager that never smiled or spoke to customers. Why did this have to happen??? Such a shame that we have to use the Puzzle now.

The Spinny has never been a brilliant pub but it's one saving grace, apart from being near to work, is it's friendly and cheerful bar staff. Sadly that has all changed now since the rather miserable lady took over the running of the Spinnaker from Christoff this week.

Good place to go after work and drink yourself daft. Noisy/stacked/filled with chaps who think they should be in a Guy Ritchie movie but some charming la-a-a-a-adeez!

What is going on with BITE? More reviews removed from this pub too. For the public service, I would like to confirm (again) that lady_bird is an imposter - a staff member pretending to be a punter, desperately trying to talk up a crap pub. Ask yourself why you would need to do this and you'll come to the correct conclusion - this pub is awful. Avoid.

Been here a few times. Would not know it was a bar unless you walked past it. Food is ok, beers are ok, pool tables are always crowded.

I'll give it a 7. Not as good as the Puzzle but if it opened on weekends it would be better.

WOW....the first word Im going to use to describe a delightfully delicious pub. So hidden, yet such a find....I treasure to experience. Its not very often that I take the time to write up a speech on BITE...although....I decided that this pub was well worthy. After visiting I was quite impressed. It was my first time in the Dockland, and I felt like I had been living there for a long time.... quite strange... it almost felt like something you wish you could have, but you never do... I LOVED IT...This pub's food was amazingggg, the service is very friendly and efficient, even the good looking lady staff :) ILL BE GOING BACK HERE if I strole through Canary Wharf again!!

this pub is realy only good to go to if you happen to work near it and fancy a quick drink after work. the choice of beer is standard and the food is ok. the portions are qite generous though, although expect it to take quite a while before you recieve your food!

I thought this was meant to be a pub review site, not an advertising board? Anyhow, I'll post a review. I'd never eat here because this place is so horribly smoky that all food would taste of nicotine. I'd never drink here again either as the beer is average at best and the glasses dirty and/or hot. I've been served a beer in a scalding hot glass! Scalding hot is also what the pub is as it's small and gets packed with people who need to shout to make themselves heard over the general din. You can only see the dock if you're jammed at the back and you most certainly can't see the river! Avoid.

Lovely pub, just about 5 mins from work. food is excellent, and has a great view of the river and the harbour

Good food, quick service, Good atmosphere with a fast turnover of customers using it for their lunch breaks. Nice to have the sun streaming through even if it is winter.

Had a fantastic evening at The Spinnaker, staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was great

We had a lovely evening here over looking the river. The Spinnaker has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with a good menu. I will definatly go back.

Large, noisy, characterless Greene King pub perched in the waters of Millwall Dock like a concrete boat. Full of stressed office yobs. The ale was served slightly too warm on my visit, and the atmosphere was one of desperate relaxation.
