This is a restaurant, not a pub. Why is it on "beer in the evening"?

"very very expensive, and there are equal Thai restaurants at more reasonable prices not too far away." = Rumwong surely?

Been here a few times and it never dissapoints for food. Whether with family, friends or the girlfriend Thai Terrace is a winner in my books. Rerservations a must and its not cheap, but even as a student it was worth me saving up and going :D

Fine views over town if you come to this Thai restaurant and Thai waitressses have far better manners than the English.

Basically a restaurant.

Better thai food here than the Tup.

Reasonable selection of lagers.

Nice place to chill out and eat something spicy.

Some say form is temporary and class is permanent, but based on the food here, Thai Terrace is in a class of its own. My girlfriend (or H-File victim) and I came here last Monday evening (7 July) just after 7. We thoroughly enjoyed our food! I had the delicious Thai stir-fry chicken and steamed coconut rice, while my girlfriend had the mixed seafood dish with steamed sticky rice. This restaurant could be somewhere to start the night drinking (in the cocktail lounge area) and admire the impressive Guildford urban landscape from the terrace. Sadly though, the beer selection is too limited and there are no ciders available. There are, however, a plethora of cocktails to choose from.

Once we finished our meal, we walked along the terrace and admired the fantastic views over Guildford as the sun set. The wet weather earlier in the day meant no one was dining outside on the terrace, but I noted there is plenty of seating here, some in a covered area. The staff are extremely helpful, friendly and efficient, while - impressively - we did not wait long at all for our food. We felt incredibly relaxed in such a tranquil and cosy environment. My girlfriend loved the whole experience and we were fortunate to be seated near a window by the terrace, so we could glance outside at the superb views through the blinds. Along with our meal, we romantically shared a dessert and had soft drinks (lemonade, apple& melon J20) which totaled 39.90. Make what you want from that if anything about the prices of food/drink in here!

Overall, I would certainly come here again for the food given this is a gem of a restaurant on top of Castle car park which requires entry via a nondescript and tatty lift! I agree with Alemans review in that this is a place for couples/groups on special occasions that serves high quality (and relatively expensive) food.

absolutely fab! never anything bad to say about this restaurant. its just what guildford needs, its a real treat and is always busy which mirrors its obviously brilliant appeal! food is stunning and its location is too, an absolute must!!!

Over a year since we last had a great meal here.O dear O dear what has gone so so wrong the once great food and really good service it is now very poor, the price`s are the same but thats all.Save your money and go else where now as this is truely awful or did we get a one off really bad night.
I have been told it has now changed hands that could be the problem. 2/10

Having a menu system for the phoneline in a restaurant like this is essential..busy restaurants need to be able to answer the phone to every customer so that you don't get frustrated that no one answers your call. Also if this place is as good as my friends have told me then its going to be busy on a friday and saturday night this means they have to limite bookings in order to give you the best service possible...people need to think about the big picture sometimes.... restaurant managers are not trying to upset you but trying to make things move as smoothly as possible so that you can enjoy your visit to the max....im intending to visite this restaurant very soon and i'll give you my verdict then...but from what i hear...sounds good.

Food is excellent here. Recently though they insist on reservations only at 6:30pm or 9:15pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Very inconvenient. They just want to maximise profit. Not a good way to run a restaurant. The phone line has a menu system and you have to hold. This is not right for a restaurant!

What a great place. Lovely food, good service, good price (although I will say, have drinks with dinner but go to a pub before and after as drinks are expensive). Will definately go again! Loved it!

Pretty undignified entrance to this place - up several floors to the top of a multi storey in an unglamourous lift.
Not a place to come drinking, but would recommend for a meal. As the name suggests, this is a Thai restaurant and the food is some of the best I've had - WORD OF WARNING - if you get an innocuous looking red chilli on top of your meal, don't act like Jack the Peanut and eat it in one. I made that mistake and it was the hottest thing I have ever eaten, and I like hot food. Rather took the shine off the rest of the meal.
As a restaurant its top notch, wouldn't come drinking here. Lovely views across the town - one to take the missus to if you're after some brownie points, but seeing as this is a drinking site, and this ain't a drinking establishment, I have to rate it low

Have now tried the place. Definitely a restaurant rather than a pub, the huge selling point of this place is the location. Great views over Guildford.

A nice visit for a couple/group of friends to come.
Pricey yes, but its pretty nice to come for a special occasion. Even so, not sure why its on this site!

Gorgeous place to hang out in the evenings. Fabulous views. LOVE the food. Could do without the singer though!

When is this place open? Seems like more of a Restaurant than a pub or bar 2 me

Rather marvellous. Good chill out with jazz that is never intrusive, great service. Save up and make a night of it.

This is a restaraunt with a cocktail lounge area and outdoor seating. Large selection of cocktails and fantastic service (prices reflect this, but you can't argue). You will completely forget you're on top of a car park! Stunning views over the whole of Guildford and beyond. In the summer - watch the sun setting over the Cathederal from the terrace.
