Couldn't agree more with the previous comments. I've always liked this one and the new people are doing a grand job.

New landlords have turned this pub right round. Great food...excellent range of beers all beautifully kept...lovely garden overlooking the cricket pitch...great atmosphere and excellent friendly staff. Do yourself a favour and check it out.

Spent a pleasant lunchtime there. It's a nice enough boozer which is a bit out of the way and on a main road, so I guess relies on passing trade.

I enjoyed my visit, so nothing to detract from it; worth a visit.

Yet another pleasant lunch - food and ale remain consistantly good.

Really enjoyed this pub. Stopped for a swift pint on a journey back from Brighton and was really impressed. Beer and service were excellent and the menu looked superb. Will definitely be eating there next time!

The first time I came here they had an unusual and slightly exotic menu ie ostrich. These days the menu is more staid but the food is good as is the beer. Could have done with another body behind the bar as even though the place wasn't even half full I must have waited the best part of ten minutes to get served and the barman couldn't remember more than one drink at a time. Even so we had a pleasant time and fully intend to come again.

Harveys pub with good value restaurant. Recently extended to increase the bar area (rather than the restaurant area). Usually stock Best and Armada plus all the seasonal beers (Knots of May, Porter, etc). Great pint and good company with a friendly welcome
