***NOW CALLED THE BAY***
Only Wickwar BOB on the ale front, was ok though and had a reasonable sunday roast for 5 here the other week. Nicer than I remember it being when it was Bar Salt. Good to see it busy aswell, 6.5/10

not the best pub/bar in the world, but it does have some good points. again nice to see a clean place unlike the Wetherspoons on the same road. the staff were nice and the food was very good also. the garden is probably one of the best in the area, with pool table in a barn thing at the back. with patio heating and loads of space, i think it would be a great night out in the evening.the major downside to the pub is NO ALE!!! and they can be pricey. 6/10

A confused bar/pub that on week days is quite mellow with only a small threat of violence among the ikean interior. The beers and ciders are the usual suspects (strongbow, steller)at slightly high prices.Come the weekend the chance of a fight increases by about 1000%,it seems to have got worst over the years for some reason. The situation isnt so bad in the beer garden but no-one can avoid the toilets which have never been a pleasant experience with whistling being only sure way of feeling safe from interruption if your lucky enough to witness andrex.

what can i say... if you like to watch or even get involved in a fight then go to bar salt on a weekend! Two bouncers cannot control the chav-tastic nights in there and it always spells disaster!

This pub used to be called the Aorora, but i never went in it when it was called that. It is more of a bar than a traditional pub. It has a younger more studenty clientele, but is well worth a visit. Football matches are shown and in my experiance pubs that show football can become unpleasant if the results go badly, but this pub is very good and has a exceptional doormen who tolerate no trouble and do not let under age drinkers of yobs in. There are also two immaculate pool tables in a seperate building via the back garden which is also pretty immaculate. A well looked after pub, but has no real ales. The furnishings are modern and it can get a little smoky, but overall well worth a visit
