Friendly locals pub with a welcoming landlord. Beer choice limited but the Havey's Best was very well kept. Pretty good food too.

I never knew this pub before it was refurbished so cannot pass comment on its previous reputation. What I can say is that the Landlady, staff and locals are all very friendly and there's a great atmosphere in there. The food is very good and the restaurant decor is tasteful. As the previous review says, the bad comments are probably made by one of the plonkers that may have frequented in the past. Give it a visit, you'll be glad you did!

i have eaten and had drinks in this pub and for the last 3 months have seen nothing but improvements, the decor is good, the staff are friendly and the other patrons are nothing but polite, the person that has written the rotten comment is obviously one of the people that has been barred from using the premises any longer!!! i would recommend you giving it a go and make up your own minds about it, i took my mother and several members of my family there for mother's day and we had a really nice time,

now a restaurant booted out all the problems and been refurbed. Food acceptable and reasonably priced. There are more people that live in lancing then under-evolved chavs as previous reviews would suggest!

Food is poor out of the freezer rubbish. Service very bad - they don't seem to have a clue! The actual restaurant is spacious and decor ok - could be good if run by competent people.

A dump, plain and simple! A magnet for the under-evolved chavs that inhabit Lancing. If you fancy a fight with 10 to 20 alcohol fuelled, burberry wearing, slack jawed cavemen, then take a wander into this s&%t hole. Avoid this place and the Merry Monk up the road too.

The landlords may have tried hard but on a nice summer evening there are people here looking for a fight.its the same in other Lancing pubs.
Head for Shoreham, its safer.

Huge improvement. I think all the yobbos and their floozies have migrated to the Merry Monk. Better if they improved their beer choices and I have not yet had a go at their food.

After a year in charge the current couple running the pub should be congratulated. What was once a rundown drinking house is now a warm welcoming friendly local with great beer (Harvey�s and Pride at the time of my last visit) Good food as well. Great.
