Louiloui, yes - it now 'does what it says on the tin' We met a few friends there yesterday evening and it was far better than expected. We all agreed, vast improvements and we'll go back. 8 / 10

In reply to 'Biker' - I certainly am not related in any way or form to Sussex Yeoman. Regarding Directors - yes, it's still there. Any complaints should be addressed to Spiritgroup.com - as they control which ales are sold inhouse.

You will be relieved to know the scampi was fine, as were the chicken skewers, beef & ale pie, and Italian chicken. Not all mine - visited with friends!

Service at the bar was, again, efficient by 'Dan'. Kronenburg was right temp as was JSmiths and white wine.
It had been a busy day there due to a (jolly) hockey tournament. Food was delivered in 12 mins and tasted satisfactory!

It's not really a pub for real buff(oon)s, but offered a varied range in both prices and ABVs.

Atmosphere was warm and friendly with all ages present in both bar and restaurant.

Will visit again on a day when there is no all day event being hosted locally - needless to say they coped well under the obvious pressure.

2for1 was taken and price for four plus drinks was under £25.00!

Louiloui, welcome to the site, I see you joined on the 27 April. Click on usernames for profile information.

More importantly, has a miracle occurred in the Yeomans ? Judging by your review, something truly miraculous has taken place. What is it - please tell us ? Has the management changed ? Are the staff being trained properly now ? Is there still only Directors on for real ale. Has the food been improved ?

As an aside, the last pint of Directors I bought in the Yeomans tasted more like something that's used for preserving vegetables ! To be fair though, it was changed without fuss.

As for the food, last year 4 of us went for their 2 for 1 deal - we sent 3 back as they were burnt.
Scampi coating should not be black in colour and resemble brazil nuts in texture !

On the other hand, I hope you're not a member of staff or a favoured customer !! 1 / 10 based on our last visit in November 07 ps, can we see some more reviews in your profile please ?

I visited this pub recently and would thoroughly recommend it. The atmosphere was friendly and the customers were of all ages and demographics.
I don't think a pub can be reasonably slated if it doesn't have more than 3 real ales. The pub companies generally go for popular ales. The ale I chose was clean and dropped bright.Service was efficient and with a smile. Interior was clean and fresh looking. Food was delivered within 15 minutes and suitably hot!
I recommend this pub if you want a decent lunch. I will visit again in the evening to compare.

I have asked the administrators of this site to remove my first review for this pub as it's no longer accurate, this pub has slipped a long way. Not recommended.

What a horrible pub. Went there on a friends leaving do last night and apart from the good company the only saving grace was the mixed grill and the directors being served at room temperature rather than -10 degrees. Not enough bar staff to cope and are the type who don't know who was next to be served so just wait for those that shout the loudest and serve them first.
Run by teenagers and it shows. I was shortchanged a fiver but the barmaid was having none of it. The 'manager' cashed up the tills at the end of the night and they were miraculously 94 pence over. I will NEVER set foot in this awful place again.
My previous lunchtime visit about three months ago consisted of being seated and the waitress reading out a long list of meals. As there were so many we thought they were the day's specials but in fact it was the stuff that they had run out of! 'Nuff said.....

2 for 1 on a great variety of edible food. Plenty of it and a good atmosphere. Before the no smoking ban was not for those of us who are non smokers as we had to get the drinks from the bar.

Not a bad place but...just tooooo many 'Eurofizz' lagers and a severe lack of real ales - only Directors. Food is catering 'fling & bring' but well cooked and properly served for what it is. Overall for this type of chain pub, 7/10. North Star better by comparison.

A bit disappointing is how I would describe a recent visit, a female of about 25, full of brandy and determined inflict her views on others reigned supreme for about an hour!

A good pub and restaurant that could easily be spoilt when this behaviour is encouraged.

My wife and I visited this pub for a drink and meal on the afternoon/evening of 13 Jan 06. We will be going back.

It's a comparatively spacious and modern pub located on the west side of worthing at the junction of the 2032/Palatine Road. If asked to describe it's facilities, I can only say, EVERYTHING at sensible prices and the best quality available in this area.

To be specific, I mean, garden, parking, bar meals, restaurant, beer, high tech telly, plenty of comfy seating, first class competent service but above all, the place is imaculately clean. If I've missed anything, sorry, I'm sure it's in their somewhere and it will be good! 10/10

To the tourist, follow the A259 west to east and you will come to the 2032. Follow the 2032 and this pub is next roundabout along. From east to west, follow the 2032, it's on your left 3 miles west of worthing.
