Very much the youngsters / loud music / Sky sports pub in the village - which is fine, because it keeps the troublemakers away from the other pubs.

The Tavern, now gone back to being called the The Bell, but still affectionately known to the faithful as the Tav. Ray and Jo have made this juicer one of the best in the village, hats off to them for spending a bit of cash and a lot of thought into what they have achieved since taking over, garden looks bloody great,and the bar(s) aint bad either,can't wait until the summer to get out there.unlike the shite hole opposite ( the white hart)plastic punters only going out for a meal once a year, not giving a shit.well done Ray And Co

I totally disagree with the above comments, this pub is not for brawling in on a friday night, its somewhere to enjoy a drink with friends in a lively and exciting atmosphere. The staff are warm, welcoming and will spend time with clients, getting to know them and showing a genuine interest in their lives.
The choice of wines is fantastic and the SUPER-CHILLED beers are always of the highest standard (the cocktails arent bad either)
As for the same old clientel comment.... Ive not seen any trouble makers in that pub for months and i know alot of the village idiots have been barred.
The new managers deserve medals !! well done!

All they've done is paint it a bit and put a big screen telly in the corner and they're the only pub in Henfield to do this.
I hardly think that qualifies as the best pub in Henfield.

i agreed with the other comments BUT WHAT A CHANGE new managers , new decor , new attidude & a new name THE BELL INN.
now its the best in the village look out all the others.
a proper pub & the staff are exellent, you would be a fool to walk past it now.

The only advantage to this place is that if you're banned from all other pubs in Henfield this is the only pub that will still serve you. It's also the place where you'll find the hard drinkers at the bar at 3pm on a Monday afternoon. I suppose they need somewhere to go!

This place is a bout as lively as a morgue, and the people fit. it sucks big balls, the beer is warm, the seats are uncomfortable and there is a strange smell in the air. Avoid to keep your sanity.
