Nice and shiny inside, was passing for a beer; 2 real ales (one was off) - had a Cheddar 'Potholer', barstaff happy to top up short measure. Beer in good condition but far, far too cold...

Drove by at eight o' clock on Saturday night, and the place was in darkness, with a flimsy note pinned to the door. I didn't stop to read it so I have no idea if this closure is temporary or final (again!).

I should have mentioned the fact that I tried it last year, and was not impressed.

It may well be open again, but I've called three times when other proper pubs are open, and this one has advertising by the roadside on approach, but I have yet to see any sign of life within.
I give up.

I loved this pub. Dropped by here on the way back from Weston Super Mare to Croscombe on saturday 10 May 2008 and the food was great. The beer was absolutely cold enough and the staff very friendly and helpful. A must visit ebfore Punch Taverns close it.
