Just heard the pub is closing through lack of users.

Shame.
Seen some good local bands and had some great evenings chatting with the staff over a beer.

Not quite sure what Belvedere "lovethepubs" went into but it can't be the same one. Decor is above average for the area and the bber is kept very well, nice atmosphere and always greeted with a smile. Years ago this was a place to avoid now i take my kids and sit in the garden. Well run and if your feeling peckish I'd recommend a burger......

having read the last persons comments on the hotel i find it to be a case of sour grapes.I have only returned to using the pub again since the new owners have taken over ,it is now family friendly with a nice vibe and as far as im concerned ,on the up. Try it and i know you will get a warm welcome and be pleasantly surprised

Ever since the latest people took over this pub, it has gone totally downhill. I and many others were regular visitors to this pub for many years, but were swiflty barred by the new owners. Why? No reason whatsoever. I have spoken to many of the other regulars and the same has happened to them. The new bloke just didn't like us and gave no reason for the ban (there was one). Just because our faces did not fit. To put it midly he is a rude racist pig. I would avoid this pub at all costs. Only his new regulars (his fellow moped riders) seem to be welcome. The previous owners had really got it up and running well. This man has totally ruined it.
Do not set foot in this pub unless you want the man to totally humiliate you and bar you for no reason whatsoever!

Couldn't have written it better myself, even if i was the landlord!

if you want a pub where drugs, attitude and lairiness is tolerated, GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!
if your thing is fun friendly family orientated pub with good jukey, nice pool table, dart board and food available then this pub ticks the box.
interior/exterior is above average for age and style of property and the relaxed attitude the owners are trying to adopt is finding its way through quite nicely.
good range of beer on sale although i had twenty three pints of stella last saturday and woke up with a banging headache on sunday!!
try it, you wont get funny looks or anything if you are a stranger, those days are gone!!!!

New owners again (leasee's) not managers.
That last holding managers really did kick start this pub, but unfortunately a buyer came in and they had to move on, much to the annoyance of the majority of the patrons.
Let's wait and see...

New managers AGAIN, it does't matter if they have another fifty managers, the place is to expensive, albeit nicely decorated and friendly.

It is still up for sale, and reduced by half, this say's it all really, the rent is extortionate for this area, but at least it's still a pub, and i'll do my bit (despite the cost's) to keep it that way.

A bit of a rough and ready, featureless hotel / pub near Belvedere station built at the turn of the last century. The interior is not exactly brimming with architectural merit but it serves a purpose for the locals. 3 hand pumps but only 1 Ale was on (Abbott) although to be fair, I wasnt expecting any Ales at all. Watching the barmaid take the best part of 10 minutes to pour out 2 pints was a bit comical and unfortunately the quality did not do her services justice. All the usual amenities you would expect in the way of pool, darts, TVs etc and a functional beer garden. Some old local pictures and drinks mirrors on the walls with a few sticks of dynamite (not joking) but overall it is a rather tired and dated 60s/70s place albeit friendly enough on my visit.

friendly local pub, has new manager there (about 3 months). They are trying to liven the place up by having Karaoke on Saturdays and pool competitions on Thursdays. To be serving food shortly

Re visited this pub recently and it is just about keeping it's head above water, We're talking saturday night here, and there was me and the holding manager propping up the bar and trying to figure out where it all went wrong. Currently up for sale at a ridiculously high price for a lease.

This is a nice pub, with entertainment, (karaoke) weekends.
needs an injection of character to get more through the door though.
has in my eyes, plenty of potential with the right operator.
