Definitely open and doing good business this weeked. Called in twice - early Friday evening and late Sunday.

Visited 2 days ago; closed and a handwritten A4 sheet in the window stating closed until further notice.

Is now a split pub with a back room with sports/pool table - all nicely done, and a front bar with cracking food, no TV's, friendly staff and good beers. Currently Doom Bar and 2 others.

Oh dear, the pub has three large televisions tuned to sky sports so that wherever you sit you can't escape. The bar is very basic with wooden floor and tables. The welcome at the bar was almost non-existant. Defininately one to avoid, unless, of course, you enjoy wall to wall football!

Abbott Ale on draft is good. Nice, clean and bright - if a little modern. Food pretty good too.

Nice pub with an Italian restaurant attached to it. The ale was good as was the food. Also they have a big screen for watchinh major sporting events.
